    1. IF Oregon loses, they deserve to lose. Losing poise in otherwise wrapped up game in the 4th quarter is the biggest sin in football.

      1. UCLA had a shot – they’re 5-3 but not far off being 8-0…probably best for us that Chip were to never turn the corner quite that far…but wish they would have won today (Oregon is really the only program in the Pac I don’t like and would not cheer for against an outside-the-conference team…well, except for maybe Michigan with Harbaugh as coach and any SEC/ACC school).

    2. Pasadena, your comment aged badly after Notre Dame put the ass whooping on a pathetic, soulless usc squad. Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

Literally no one respects the Trojans now and no one is afraid of playing them. No one.

  1. Oregon tried to give UCLA a big gift, and they couldn’t capitalize. Both teams are good, but not great football teams. Chip Kelly, needed this win, and if he does not beat SC and Utah ..UCLA may make a coaching change also.

The best game tonight might be the Utah/Oregon State game.

I see plenty of passing yards for the Trojans tonight, but we still will not be able to run the ball against ND especially inside the 20 yard lines. ND will run the ball all night on our defense just smash mouth football.

      1. Graham and Donte came up with some good, long developing pass plays to start things off —the kind that require our crack O-Line to hold off Notre Dame for 4 seconds…

      2. So inept…any high school player would know under these circumstances: quick outs, screens (hahaha USC running screens), run counters, designed rollouts off play action…even the announcer noted what you said and that they should call plays to get the ball out of Slovis’ hand quickly and try to exhaust the pass rushers a little…inept…

        Liked by 1 person

      3. Screen…ND knows how to…as well as mixing up play calls to attack every area of the field (deep throws, short throws, runs, screens, fake counters)…of course, doesn’t hold a candle to an ‘air raid’ approach…

Reason for encouragement? Hey, if our players can be that undisciplined and talk that much trash in a season like this, imagine what they could do if they were actually playing well…

  2. When the defense sees how lame the offensive coaching is –it makes them too sad to play football. And when the offense sees how lame the defensive coaching is — it makes them too ill to play football.
So —after about 10 minutes —USC ends up not wanting to play football.

  3. 6 point switch!!

    This team is f**cking doomed.

What is worse than a debacle?

How about crisis after crisis at USC.

Slovis is has more than regressed. No way he is getting drafted.

  4. Three star offensive line was Helton’s last excuse for inept coaching on his part; “Gee coach Bohn, it was the subpar recruiting on the line-we’ll be better next year “

    1. Typical climber/bureaucrat – too incompetent and/or stupid to even know just how awful they are and that the rest of us clearly see it…usually thinking that it’s everyone else who is the problem.

  5. Lack of recruiting focus on O-line and D-line have clearly been cemented in place. USC can no longer hide how bad we are in the trenches. I’m ready for the 2022 season regardless who the coach will be.

    1. Yes, has been a problem since when they thought they had recruited multiple 5-stars under SarKiff but none were developed (e.g. Damien Mama…even better performers like Leonard Williams believe this was largely true of as well, although he got to play under Coach O).

leave it to Gomer to bring these god awful players to USC

Sign in the offensive line meeting room. “Games booted while you wait”
John Robinson part two, first thing he said, “where are the big guys?” He finally got a team worth fielding and got a call from Garrett in his answering machine.

  7. I’m no footbah coach, but don’t most teams when their QB is getting killed being in a TE and their best blocking RB? Wait, what do you mean USC doesn’t have any TEs? Or run the ball but that’d be too easy.

  8. The NBC golden announcers saying the d- line is not getting off blocks, they’re just standing up and looking around to see what is happening. We are getting hosed paying the coaches.

ND is not very good actually kind of suck

  9. Did the SC coaching staff have a clue? Seriously? Use their last time out when the clock is stopped? Then run the ball with no time outs? Then try to spike the ball out of the Shotgun? This is beyond anything I saw in the Hackett era.

    1. I admit it –I thought Donte and Graham were going to work on getting the ball out FAST. I thought we’d try to blitz the shit out of them with quick passes and runs after catch. I thought we knew by now that our o-line was worthless….

      1. Still think way more than 13 points?
At least this is so comically bad that, even though Bohn is laughing, and incompetence still reigns…this is a step into the darkest part of the valley that this program needs to travel through to get to somewhere better if it ever is going to (instead of joining the U, as I have feared for several years).

  10. First,

the oline is being thrown around like a rag doll.
NO F#CKING URGENCY FROM THE COACHES OR PLAYERS
Why have a defense. JUST COVER THE TIGHT END.
ND is BEATABLE. UNFORTUNATLEY, SC’S COAHES ARE IMPOTENT AND INCOMPTENT

    1. “INCOMPTENT”? PT, I believe you mean incompliment – LOL

Don’t worry PT, SUCC’s “COAHES” have plenty of time to further embarrass the Clown U FB program tonight.

Great news PT, the Sigma Nu fraternity plans to throw a Sunday night party to welcome back the Loser/SUCCer bozo FB team. Much merriment is guaranteed for all in attendance; SUCC party babes are admitted and drink for free.

  11. What is Slovis doing with the 39 seconds left in the second half. he needs to show determination, heart, and a will to win. he showed that he didn’t want to make a mistake. Sure the coaches Solvis. You call your own plays and you kick your oline in the ass and tell them to grow a set.

  12. Scotty, I hope you got free air, hotel, food and tickets to the game. If not, take a tax deduction for a casualty loss.

This USC team is like investing in Chernobyl, Fukushima or Three Mile Island.

      1. Lots of other comparisons across a wide spectrum occur…sticking to realm of classic cartoons (albeit now considered in poor taste, so please understand meant only for the humorous aspect), like watching the Go-Go-Gophers cartoon (aside: a phrase with which I taunted my college baseball teammates from Michigan with in 1986 when their perfect season with Harbaugh at QB crumbled against Minnesota…prior to getting handled by ASU in the Rose Bowl), with USC in the past decade being like the incompetent and pathetic blue coat dogs, while the Gophers…just like Buggs (and as joked about previously, Kirk in ST II/Khan “I’m laughing at the superior intelligence…”)…up to more seriously probably what Lee felt like watching the Army of the Potomac (until Meade took command, and then Grant arrived…fun times over…we could only hope USC could get a Grant…even a Meade…what, hire a good coach?! how dare you suggest such a thing!)…

      P. S.
The defense has zero discipline –dumb penalties, constantly outta position.

      1. Agreed on all except the Air Raid – it is and always has been farcical (there are aspects that are useful that can be extracted, but the attitude that permeates the approach in pure form is what leads to the soft attitude, to include inability to run in the red zone, terrible blocking, and poor play calling decisions).

  17. Has anyone else noticed that the referees have been re-starting the clock
almost immediately after a first down or out of bounds? They are supposed to wait for the ball to be set. SC needs all the time they can get.

Also why did I see a hand-off with 3 plus minutes down by 15 on their own side of the field?

Question is will “the Drake” taunt ND players after the game.

    1. You’re not wrong in the general sense – program off the rails, no discipline.

On other notes – Dodgers need to dig deep to save us from a Houston-Atlanta series…only things worth watching would be Morton against his old teammates and Grienke trying to complete his HOF resume with a WS ring.
