Less than five hours before kickoff, the Holiday Bowl between UCLA and North Carolina State was canceled because the Bruins’ defensive line had COVID issues.
This means Iowa will be the defending champs of the Holiday Bowl since 2019 after pummeling USC. And the lasting USC memory can be Juliano Falaniko kicking an Iowa player in the head.

I can only imagine how furious I’d be if I had driven to San Diego for the game and then had to drive right back.
For the UCLA fans, what happens now with Chip Kelly? Does the post-modern A.D. Martin Jarmond extend Kelly’s contract or fire him?
UPDATED: North Carolina State coach Dave Doeren was upset with the decision: “Felt lied to, to be honest. We felt like UCLA probably knew something was going on, didn’t tell anybody on our side. We had no clue they were up against that. I don’t feel like it was very well handled from their university.”
