Five-Star Prospect Picks Ohio State Over USC

Brandon Inniss, a five-star wide receiver who committed to Lincoln Riley at Oklahoma, decided today to commit to Ohio State. He had listed USC in his final six schools.

Wide receivers are fairly easy to recruit, as USC repeatedly demonstrates. But Riley did try hard to convince Inniss to follow him to USC.

Like I always say, focus on the linemen.

    1. Clay Helton tarnished the program so bad by not recruiting, and developing 4&5 star offensive linemen, that USC lost their reputation for sending them to the NFL. Couple that with the fact that Lincoln Riley is a weak recruiter at the linemen position, don’t expect the Trojans to dominate up front. Riley’s term at Oklahoma should indicate what SC is going to be during his tenure, get to the playoffs, then get their hat handed to them, from the likes of a Alabama, Michigan, and Georgia. Those programs build from the inside out, not outside in like Helton, and Riley do.

      1. Those programs didn’t build overnight in one season either. Like is there anyone on here that actually knows how to recruit a lineman? If so why aren’t you on staff.

      1. If you knew anything about college football instead of being a Trojans Ass Lick, you’d be a better Man for it. My advice to you, steveg49 is stop being a dumb ass SC Fanboy, and learn how to accept constructive criticism. So enjoy the upcoming season, and watch your Trojans win the weakest power 5 conference, which is a step above the Mountain West.

  1. Oh man, you really can’t make this stuff up. This is as good as the Rose Bowl having 25K fans after SUCLA gives tickets away!

“The DNC slashed their price for a photo with Vice President Kamala Harris at a women’s forum amid the veep’s cratering approval rating. Harris was slated to appear at the DNC’s Women’s Leadership Forum this year as a headliner with a reported $15,000 price tag for a photo with the vice president.”

The event ended up not selling enough tickets and was postponed. Those who want a picture with her now have to pay only $5,000 and this is IN HER HOME STATE OF CALIFORNIA!

    1. She dropped out of the ’20 dem race before the CA primary, as she was predicted to finish no better than 5th in her home state. Seems her popularity here hasn’t improved since that time.

      1. I wish it were only a joke…Biden’s approval rating at 39.5 is now lower than any prez since Harry Truman. If Kamala had to become prez, she would blow through that bedrock in no time.

      2. True story, 67: When I was serving as a law school dean, a very pretty student walked into my office to tell me how excited she was that, after meeting him at a party, Willie asked her to visit him anytime to “hear more about her traffic safety ideas”…..

  2. We don’t need anymore receivers and anyhow, 2023 is a long way away. When he sees the explosive offense attack SC will have in 2022, he might change his mind. I wouldn’t say this is a done deal.

    1. Pasadena, it has always bothered me that SUCLA seems to always have a decent FG kicker and we almost always close our eyes when our kicker comes in. I realize much of that is the fact that they don’t count on being able to get the 6. But there shouldn’t be that much of a disparity.

  3. Pull all the best in LA, CA and what’s West of the Mississippi and north of the Arkansas River. Anything else should be extra special but secondary, or a tit for tat for poaching.

If UF, Miami, FSU and the SEC/ACC can’t keep their FL and Southeast top talent at home, that’s something for them to work out and all the better for us but not our real concern.

  4. TODAY is a day I celebrate but there is still time left.

Lincoln Riley has not poached one PAC-12 committed HS player or induced one PAC-12 player to transfer to SC.

Is he not feeling well today? Do you think he might need a wellness visit? I’m concerned.

    1. Gloria Allred and Nancy Pelosi like Harris.

And by the ’86, the Bruins just received a 2023 verbal commitment from Luke Duncan, a slick, 6″5′, prostyle QB that was considered a Cal lock!

      #Oh well. Chip can flip.

I think getting to Williams is how SC will be beat this year. I have faith in the Cal front 7.

PS: owns , that QB was scout team material. Who’s kidding whom? The only thing chip flips is buckwheat pancakes. Fucla.

  7. I may be confused, but if a receiver lines up on the line, is he not a lineman? I know one step back and he’s in the backfield, but semantics are a little hazy here.
Anyway we’re talking about an 18 year old with dilutions of grandeur making a rational decision. I’m surprised Scott didn’t mention that his high school number wasn’t retired yet. (Or maybe it was)
