Things could get a little crowded at the USC-Cal game on Nov. 5, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at the Coliseum and will be on ESPN.
If LAFC defeats Austin FC on Sunday, it will host the MLS Cup at 1 p.m. on Nov. 5.
Did we mention that Cal is also Homecoming? And I’ve previously mentioned there aren’t many tickets available for that game so it is expected to get a good crowd.
So you will have 22,000 fans at the Banc of California Stadium plus those who want to be there but couldn’t get a ticket along with USC fans tailgating and competing for parking spots.
Also, Homecoming at 7:30 p.m.? That’s never ideal.

Don’t get me started on the refs and the PAC 12 wanting nothing to do with the L.A. teams being in the championship game. I will repeat what I said after the Uturd game. USC should go independent in 2023. We play the same schedule, but no PAC 12 refs.

Not parking near the coliseum, my family will take the metro gold line and transfer to the red/purple line and finally the the expo line.(believe it or not) Less hassle less expensive. No hotdogs from cookie sheet shopping cart vendors. There isn’t enough Pepto in one bottle to combat what happens after those things. I actually told the guy who was in and out of our row about 20 times that he shouldn’t have had the bacon wrapped dog on Exposition Blvd. He agreed as he moved faster up the stairs.
