Pac-12 Title Game Tickets Going!

USC sent out this email to some fans who bought tickets to the Pac-12 title game.

It claims USC needs extra tickets for the game. Now before you get too excited, the ticket allotment is 3,500, so USC should sell those tickets quickly.

  1. A jury finds the NCAA is not responsible for former USC LB Matthew Gee’s death.

    Proving Gee died specifically from invisible injuries suffered at USC, and not something that occurred before or after his college career, was always going to be challenging, especially when he had so many other health problems.

    1. This was the first case of this type to actually make it to a jury. Given the verdict, I’m sure there are a lot of disappointed families and former plays.

      I read he had a great fondness for cocaine.

      2. Then there’s the Tyler Skaggs lawsuit by the family against the LAA. Still simmering as all parties await the sale of the franchise and yet GM Minasian is making more moves than a centipede in its’ death throes.

      4. Come on, Gabby, Don’t denigrate the poor SC kid because he had a drug addiction problem like millions of other Americans. Besides, it takes a lot of cocaine to kill a man of 50-years-old, I am sure his playing days were the largest factor in his demise as the premature death of all his fellow Trojan linebacker buddies would tend to establish

    2. I think the point was that the Cte and the head pain, and the onset dementia triggered the self medication of alcohol and drugs. True very hard to prove. But the assertion is not that cte was the cause of death but that cte contributed to it as well as brought in the masking of pain and disorientation also drew the substance abuse accelerated the issues

    2. Oh damn! Would have been great to see her, cuz as Ron White says at the 1:50 mark, once you’ve seen one, you wanna see them all.

      He was the least known of the 4 in the Blue Collar tour, but by far our favorite!!

  5. I just saw a writer say that SC-ND have crushed the other’s National Championship hopes 7-times although I can’t confirm that is a fact, but there is no doubt that the Irish are arriving in Los Angeles tomorrow confident they can blow-up SC’s season

    1. Well ‘old stick’ pray tell why wouldn’t they? They have nothing to lose whereas USC hopes for the playoffs hinge 100% on winning this game and the Pac-12 CCG. In addition, Freeman will get a walk as a first-year coach.

      What is never discussed is ‘the princess’ always able to avoid (save 2019) a CCG – no need to ‘look ahead’ no this is their last game of the season.

      All the pressures on USC but I still sense the drive will more than prevail <72 hours hence.

      1. Good point, Alvarado. This is Notre Dame’s Big Season Ending Game. For USC it’s sandwiched in between UCLA and the Pac 12 Championship.
        It is what it is. We’re relatively healthy. We’re at home. And we play like a team….

  6. Sorry for the onslaught of words but as SC gets deeper into these de facto Playoffs the more nervous and excited I become as should you because you never know when SC will be traipsing through these amazing times again

    2. Should be the same as Caleb Williams returns next year in addition USC’s OOC are the same quality as this year only less – San Jose and NV (home) and @ Notre Dame in addition Troy plays @: AZ, Cal, CO & OR.

        SC is in if it wins out # which computes to at worse having a 25% chance of singing “Hello Final-4′ if the odds were 1/2 in beating ND and 1/2 in beating probably Oregon, but Troy is favored in both games so that 25% shoots up somewhat

        # With the exception if LSU beats Georgia or the possible exception of the Ohio St-Michigan loser only dropping to No. 4

  8. wow, this basketball team gets to 3:50 with an 18 pt lead and just absolutely forgets how to play basketball. Give up a 3, needless turnover, give up another 3, get a 5 second call on an inbound, give up a 2, miss a front end, give up a 2, commits a 10 sec violation, give up a 3, blow a lay up and so on and so on. they miss 14 free throws and 10 down the stretch. Worst part is that they show you on film exactly what to do to break them down. They do this time and time again. You press them and they will turn the ball over. They play good D and when they get on a run, they get sloppy on D and don’t get back and that reverses momentum. They have a lot of work to do.

    2. Vault91 your correct, Enfield needs to really start coaching up these players the right way. I don’t like this 4 gaurd line up. Reese Dixon can’t shoot 3s, Boogie is streaky, Peterson will be great at the next level. He has a skill set that is tailor made for the NBA. Is freshman center ever going to play?, or is he just going to be a medical redshirt . and pair him with Isaiah Collier?

      1. To be honest…no one can shoot right now. They made 2 of 10 and 3 of 17 last 2 nights . They are averaging 14.8 turnovers a game. Peterson, I expect more from. Way too many turnovers for him. Often times commits to the pass after he leaves his feet and doesn’t have anywhere to go with it. He will be on one side of the floor with 3 defenders between him and the bucket, and try to back them down and get a very low percentage shot off. And everyone is just standing around on the backside and not giving him a place to pass because they know he will try to take it himself. The worst thing is that he will make some of those low percentage shots. That’s why he keeps shooting them. They are all too concerned with drawing contact. They just need to focus on putting the ball in the hole and if they get contact great, its an “and one”. They still are a horrible free-throw shooting team so just drawing contact is not a good thing. And remember, as bad as RDW is shooting from behind the arc, Peterson is shooting 2% lower behind the arc. I like peterson and think he is an asset (but I think he hangs on the ball too long) but why is a guy who can make off balance, low % shots, only shooting 61% from the line. Missed both FTs on a 2 shot fouls twice last night. Not to mention front ends of 1 and 1s. You can actually rely on the big men from the stripe more than Peterson or Elis (see the 2 very short technical foul shots early in the game, barley hit the rim).

  9. Cam Hart is out. Starting safety for the Irish is questionable. Can the Irish qb beat USC on 3rd and long? Serious depth issues for Notre Dame this late in the year and how does Notre Dame guard against USC when the rb motions out? LB or inexperienced safety?

    How many punts can the Irish block on Saturday?

    2. Sorry LJ but I can not say amen to your prayer. I am going to be awfully judgmental here but you lost we at “however we choose to perceive You” followed by “You probably have no preference.” You are advocating a religion of relativism where “all views are equal and equally valid” and this thinking is at odds with the Catholic church.

      “In recent years I find myself noting,” Cardinal Ratzinger said in his Without Roots, “how the more relativism becomes the generally accepted way of thinking, the more it tends toward intolerance. Political correctness … seeks to establish the domain of a single way of thinking and speaking. Its relativism creates the illusion that it has reached greater heights than the loftiest philosophical achievements of the past. It presents itself as the only way to think and speak — if, that is, one wishes to stay in fashion. … I think it is vital that we oppose this imposition of a new pseudo-enlightenment, which threatens freedom of thought as well as freedom of religion.”

      That last point is key. While appearing to be the very essence of neutrality and equity — “all views are equal and equally valid” — it actually undermines both the freedom of thought and the freedom of religion. As to the latter, it does so (ironically) as a new religion itself, “a new ‘denomination’ that places restrictions on religious convictions and seeks to subordinate all religions to the super-dogma of relativism.”

      3. I’m a Catholic, Plow Horse, so I guess, temperamentally speaking, I’m on your side. But I ask you to consider this concept: There’s a distinction between moral evil and ontological evil —just as there’s a distinction between moral good and ontological good. In other words— whatever the correct theological recipe for good or evil, right or wrong, any person doing the best they can, by their own lights, is gonna be okay big picture-wise.

I give you relativism and yeah so-called tolerance by such is about as tolerant as hard core bolsheviks because that is what they are. The three targets of ‘progressives’ are:

    Luck of the Irish?– Some years back I was in Notre Dame stadium on a windy rainy afternoon as the 20 mph wind blew in the SC team’s faces in the first half while looking forward to a changing of sides in the second half when lo and behold if the darn wind didn’t change direction and was still blowing in SC’s faces
