A Varsity Blues Update

Donna Heinel, the former USC athletic dept. administrator, could be sentenced as soon as Friday.

Prosecutors asked for 37-to-48 months in prison although some believe she will receive 24-to-36 months.

Last month, Heinel was scolded by the judge because her pre-trial release requires her to stay in the country and she took a family Disney cruise to three Mexican ports.

        Joe said a couple of hours ago in his border press conference that the 20K lbs of fentanyl seized at the border since August is “enough to kill 1K people”. 20K lbs of fentanyl is enough to kill 40B!

        He also referred to Kamala as President AGAIN in the same press conference. A President who doesn’t remember who he is. Fun stuff!

        The Boebert faction wants Jordan. He doesn’t want it and intends to head the investigative committee. He is not permitted to serve in both capacities, Dumbasses, and he would serve us better heading up that committee!

      Boebert is a cutie, but has a poor complexion. Same is true of Tulsi.

      But Boebert’s stubbornness on this definitely takes her down a few notches in my book. It’s time to get on board with the other 90%, so they can get to work!

      I might feel differently if there was someone else who could easily get to 218. But the other side is never going to flip. Especially not when the other side has someone who checks the right box. (You know, because identity politics worked out so well in picking a VP.)

That compromises to the Dems. And they are sending a message. McCarthy is nothing but a RINO and his voting track record shows it. A leopard can’t change his spots.       1. McCarthy is weak and self entitled. The more conservative elements of the pubs want McCarthy to agree to deal with many issues that he has ignored. I.E. The ’20’ want him to agree to a vote of confidence if one pub calls for it. A lot of pubs do not want a speaker that cannot be challenged like we just went through.
        A little google search will tell you about McCarthy and what he stands for and what he ignores.
        And rumor has it he is a punitive and revenge type person. He’s too interested in wielding the big stick. Pubs just went through that.

  8. I had a thought when I saw the news on Singer. Why do criminals get more time for stealing relatively cheap stuff, like a car, than very large sums of money through white collar crime?

    I personally would like to see alot more white collar criminals in very long jail term sentences. So someone who carries out a financial crime that steals 5 million gets a much longer sentence than a punk who steals a computer or a car, etc? Why does it not make sense to increase jail time for larger dollar amounts?

    White collar criminals also generally dont need the money to survive. They have other ways of earning money. They are not as desperate as the low level criminals. So it is even more a crime of choice and we should lock those people up.

    The best way to clean up financial crime, which hardly ever gets discovered and punished, is to dramatically increase the downside when people are caught.

    1. I think it’s because they take their money for their crimes and give them a lighter sentence because of
      it. The financial windfall to the authorities that are in charge in each case. Thus the lighter sentences for blue collar crimes. It’s about the money.

    1. Most of us would of been locked up for violating the terms set down by the Court and judge. Leaving the country no matter what is a serious offence when your on trial under the court of law. When you’re told not too. You’re considered a flight risk.

      1. Guys! Nobody gets in trouble for violating probation anymore. The judges wouldn’t even know how to hold the probation violation hearing. [The last time I represented a client I pleaded my client ‘not guilty due to double jeopardy’ —the judge said ‘what am I supposed to do next?’…I told her ‘that’s your problem’ –case dismissed].

  10. That judge should have been fired on the spot. Not asking you to submit a brief to explain your plead is just-nevermind! You guys should be mad at the way the congressional members have sold out the country to the Kochs, ActBlue, Wall Street and other non-elected morally impaired thugs who have prevented any return of democratic (not the party, idiot) functions to our workplace, made a fiat policy (the tax code, Jesus keep up!) regressive and destructive to the middle class like limiting the SALT deductions while engaging in foreign land conflicts with no end in sight!!!! Kudos on destroying 50% of Putin’s war capacity but what happens when he’s thrown out and the Caterer takes over? Your going to end up spending more than that 5% we’re spending on Ukraine now.
