sorry, but i disagree that the recruiting can be called good.
if you listen to most sports commentators that really know college football, they are all calling Riley’s first full recruiting class underwhelming. everyone thought USC would quickly become a top 5 class, but no, we are struggling to recruit many positions (obviously not QB).
i do think that this is mainly a problem of NIL and that Bohn has handicapped Riley

I think it’s premature to judge a recruiting class, more so a player, until these kids have had a large sample size in a real game-time environment at the college level.

When you bring up the tragic Memphis situation, I ask you—— were you aware that the five black police officers were not recruited, hired or trained by the Memphis PD? They were hired by the city of Memphis from a program that was designed to inject more people of color into the PD. We used to refer to it as AFFIRMATIVE ACTION. In theory very positive. In reality, bad news.
These five ‘ officers’ we’re unqualified to be in PD. Do your research. I used to charge for research. Free this time so that you don’t hang your hat on this cause and further go down the rabbit hole.

It amazes me that people think that you can just plug in anyone with the politically favored color or ethnic background or sexual orientation to fulfill a responsible position such as a cabinet post, federal judge, cardiac surgeon, airline pilot, or even a police officer, who is otherwise unqualified in the name of progressive equity and expect no adverse consequences. Biden, his cabinet and appointees and your local public school teacher are proof that there are adverse consequences to hiring based on a criteria other than the “best and the brightest.”

This is indeed a tragic situation and I think knowing the truth would be wise here.
