Mick Cronin Strains Credibility

UCLA coach Mick Cronin was asked today about Jaylen Clark’s injury status.

“There’s a little thing called ‘HIPAA,’ ” Cronin said.

Cronin was referring to The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which is a federal law.

HIPAA requires health-care providers to comply with privacy and security regulations.

It has nothing to do with a basketball coach saying his player has an Achilles’ injury.

Cronin knows this. But he’s going to play this game for a while longer, apparently. And the fanboy segment of the media will applaud.

Based on Cronin’s comment, has he violated HIPAA every time he gave an injury update on a player?

  5. –Just read why sucla basketball is better than SC basketball– recruits say they can feel that the entire sucla campus is behind them, especially when they show up in mass for their Pauley Pavilion games. Contrastingly and apparently, most SC students do not know they even have a basketball team as evidenced by their great basketball venue at Galen Center pretty much empty most basketball game nights.

    Similarly, sucla students do not support their football team whereas SC treats football better than it treats God

Yikes, I only saw the original ‘Texas Chainsaw” and it upset me so that I had to leave the auditorium 2-times because I could not take the act of “a stranger knocking on a door and out-comes a giant psycho guy that takes the stranger and hangs him on a meat-hook to die a slow agonizing death’

        That movie kind of set the target for B-Movies wanting to make big money– scare the ‘heck’ out of people on a low movie budget

  11. This team in the first half has literally shit the bed. No focus, ridiculous turnover after ridiculous turnover, have given up so many offensive rebounds its a joke, play good D then have a laps a give up open 3’s. They are being out played, out schemed, out hustled, out techniqued, out hearted. No offensive plan. They are actually 3 of 15 in the pain alone. ASU is hot at the same time this could get incredibly ugly quick.

      2. Mike Bohn shouldn’t have been allowed to sniff the USC AD job. They only reason he ended up with it is b/c Drunk Pat Haden and Lynn Swann ruined everything, the president got booted and Dear Leader Folt was brought in and who’d want to work for her under those circumstances? He then kept Helton for 2 years and 2 games too many. Thanks Enfield too

  18. As I’ve noted before – USC isn’t winning anything of consequence with him in charge. He gets clowned by good coaches. Going to be fun to see how he fucks things up next year with the #1 recruit in the country on the roster.

    1. No offense, but you’re not really antagonizing anyone with half a brain when it comes to USC hoops. No one likes Enfield. Hell, I’ll bet a dollar that if he has a dog his dog hates him too. It’s been 10 years since drunk Pat Haden woke from his early afternoon blackout and saw Florida Gulf Coast doing cool dunks and TV repeatedly showing Enfield’s hot wife and he thought this is the guy USC needs! He also could’ve been so drunk he thought Enfield was Bill Self. Who knows.

      1. MG, the smallish (6’3″), 5 star, freshman PG, Isaiah Collier doesn’t necessarily guarantee Andyain’twinning a deep run in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

        Collier is no Alcindor or Walton; neither is Andyain’twinning a Coach Wooden. MJ didn’t win a NC as a freshman.

        V.I. is a mystery; he’s disappeared. So I’m asking for a friend, why isn’t V.I. in the bozo BB lineup? Is it a medical problem or…?

  22. What’s funny, is southern Cal’s non-binary head football coach retained his pillow soft DC.

    I’m so glad Dorian turnover Robinson is gone, we had 2 other qbs on the depth chart that would’ve won that game.

    Once Caleb leaves, it’ll look a lot more like Oklahoma 2020.

    Chip gonna beat that ass this year in the coli. I won’t be there, south central LA is a shithole, I’ll be watching on tv.

    I wish they’d just play this game every year in the rosebowl.
