Will Early Tipoff Hinder USC?

Is playing Michigan State at 9:15 a.m. PT on Friday going to be a disadvantage for USC?

It’s not an ideal start time. On the other hand, these USC players have spent their lives playing club basketball, where playing an 8 a.m. game is normal.

So it probably doesn’t matter. Or, on second thought, it will only be an issue if USC loses.

  • The lineup has been announced for the Festival of Books at USC, which is April 22-23.

  1. Scott, these are grown men, tipoff time should be the least of your concerns. But we all know, no attacking angles are off-limits with you. Better yet, focus on the matchups on the court. Where might USC have the advantages and disadvantages?

      Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene claimed that Mexican drug cartels were now “planting bombs” on the U.S. side of the border on Wednesday. Greene shared an image of the supposed explosive device on Twitter. There is, however, a major hole in her claim: Border Patrol officials say the object was nothing more than a wad of sand and duct tape.

      During a Wednesday hearing with U.S. Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz, Greene questioned the chief regarding reports she had heard indicating that border patrol had recovered explosives in “no man’s land” areas of the border. Ortiz initially indicated that briefings he’d been privy to regarding those kinds of materials were typically confidential, and declined to provide details.

      1. Here’s the crazy part, so cal has reached a point where his whole life is consumed by Biden’s actions. He claims to have physically examined Biden and diagnoses him as suffering from dementia. The same Biden who slapped the republicans around at his state of the union speech. Joe disproved so cal’s diagnosis in one speech.

        So cal also claimed months ago we were in a recession but Biden was adding 500k new jobs a month, or his constant rant that the red wave was coming. His family told him to come back into the house before the blue wave hits you

  6. Are you kidding this is USC basketball. The only excuse we need is “Thanks Enfield” the question was and is a setup for this punchline when the tall men’s volleyball team get manhandled by a future opponent in the tournament.
    And politically Trump will be tied up forever by ridiculous prosecution. If New York doesn’t throw him in jail I’m sure someone else will try. The man can’t get out of his own way. The Florida’s governor isn’t a good replacement option he’s now using his power in office to persecute people. He’s the Republican equivalent of Graven Nonsense from California.
    But I don’t do politics.

  9. I’m not discussing politics but since they bought that new building in D. C. could they push the government learning students out and have the team bivouac there to acclimate to the east coast time zone? Or did they sublease that to the prosecutors chasing down Trump? Or is that where the defend Hunter Biden task force is working out of? Maybe they can call Jerome Powell and ask if he going to destroy the world economy and raise the discount rate by .50 so all the regional banks can go kaput and ruin Biden’s chances of re-election?

    I mean if USC loses to Michigan St then that means the lower seed lost, right?

  10. I’ll go out on a limb and guess Homeboy Industries founder “Gregory Boyle” is the only Catholic priest on the list for Festival of Books. Could the LA Times not fit ‘Rev.’ in front of his name or does the publication not want readers to know that?

    They found a way to note that someone named Eve Ensler now goes by the minimalist name of ‘V’ — but they couldn’t provide acknowledgement of the title ‘Reverend’ or ‘Father’ for Gregory Boyle?
