USC also offered Perlotte a scholarship.
Now a couple caveats: Perlotte is committed to Georgia. Buford is 50 miles from the University of Georgia.
So it’s a tall order to get him to flip from the Bulldogs.

Ya like USC has a real shot at him. Now Branden Baker was at USC again on Friday. This is one of the top O linemen in the country and a hometown boy. The fact he has visited USC over 10 times speaks volumes. This is one guy USC is going all out for.

USC is going after a ton of the top recruits. I imagine some of these long shots will want to see if USC can make the CFP this year.
I’m getting more convinced that USC fans are overly negative on the coming season. We have the Heisman QB coming back and will be the #1 offense, maybe by a significant amount. Sure, the defense sucked really bad last year, but there might only be 2 or 3 starters that start again this year. Probably need to add another 3-4 defensive players from the portal after Spring and have up to 10 pushed out.

Please don’t confuse good manners with real interest. The kid enjoyed the visit, but the only way we seen him at SC is if he wants outa Georgia. Otherwise he’s just doing what he was raised to do, saying something nice about the visit. It’s nice to think about getting a kid, but realistically unless he makes that choice, I doubt he’s heading west.
