I didn’t intend to say anything else about USC basketball but assistant coach Chris Capko took to twitter to laud the program and appreciate its accomplishments.
All I will say is two first-round victories in nine years.

Coaches work decades and never get the experience. Players play entire college careers and don’t get a taste.
In my 9 years with @USC_Hoops, we’ve been a part of the madness 5 times. pic.twitter.com/1Q9RUGZrG2
- USC baseball took 2 of 3 games vs. Cal this weekend and is 4-2 to start the Pac-12.
Hey Scott…even the old dog deserves a pat on the head every once in a while….

Trump’s Economic Catastrophe
Trump Added More to the National Debt Than Obama and Bush
May 29, 2022 — The fiscally irresponsible 45th president somehow bloated deficits more in four years than his predecessors did in eight.
Damn, the orange idiot Trump added more to the national debt in one term than President Obama and Bush did in their two terms

Let me add some context…..Over the last 230 years, the country has been burdened with a national debt, trump raised it by 25% in four short years, 12 trillion. Yet so troll and his fellow MAGats bitch constantly about Biden’s so-called out-of-control spending. The hypocrisy continues to flow like a river.
We can’t forget how he gave corporate America trillions in PPP relief which they used to start the biggest stock buy-backs in the history of wall street, all while shitting on the employees. It was the biggest money grab in the history of the country and trump sat there with his finger up his asshole and did nothing. Where was the outrage from the repukes(crickets).
He was the only president in history to leave the office with fewer jobs than when he started, lost 11 million. He has to be a major fuck-up to pull that off. So cal cried because we were not getting four more years of trump’s incompetence

Exactly, Gabby, in 1971 with SC’s great 24-2 team they were not even invited to the NCAAs because back then only the conference champion was invited.
And then with the advent of the 64-team concept SC most years did not make it, so qualifying 5 times in the past 9 years has never before been accomplished by the Trojans, so I personally was pleased with the 2022-23 Trojan team making the NCAAs for the 3rd straight year, and unfortunately Troy was saddled with a tough assignment versus a Michigan St team that was basically playing a home game against our boys as they had to cris-cross the nation (jet lag anyone?)
But as usual I celebrate the Trojan basketball team’s accomplishments alone as I continue to be amazed at how fair-weather sports fans turn on their favorite team with each loss

I was with you for most of that. It’s true, SC and the PAC only sent one school to the NIT/NCAA and even when we were the 2nd best team in the land, UCLA was the most dominant program in the country, really in a way no other program has come close to. (It’s arguable that we were better than UCLA a few of those years but all the politics and shenanigans were behind UCLA.) Still we got to 7 NCAA appearances, with two Sweet 16s,
There has been a series of expansions, not just one, starting in the late 80s, and with that a change in PAC policies.
Before the first expansion and opening we had about a dozen years and that included two Final Fours, two Elite 8s, and two Sweet 16 endings! If SC wasn’t a football school and crosstown from UCLA we’d have been considered a powerhouse hoops team. It doesn’t even seem like SC celebrates that adequately or acknowledges it!
Once the first tourney expansion and PAC policies really kicked in in the 90s, we had about about 15 or so years before all the sanction stuff started, and we made the tourney almost half the time. We got to the Round of 32 twice (which meant more before the play in expansion), the Sweet 16 and Elite 8, (a Sweet 16 when the program was under clouds). Recall even under Bibby, we were in the tourney 1997, 2001 and 2002 teams to the NCAA tournament, including an “Elite Eight” appearance in 2001. Even when we were in the media and NCAA cross hairs we pulled out another Sweet 16 in 2007. I feel like we are constantly disrespected and shortchanged for that history.
Then there was the latest expansion and restructuring that expanded the field and gave more bids to the Big 6, changes that got us in the tourney when we otherwise wouldn’t have– we’ve been “play-in” teams and several times under our current coach right? In that time (and by word of a few snitch book writing agents, not to mention an FBI investigation) we’ve done any and everything to get talent.
With all that I don’t see how Enfield is an improvement on what we’ve already had.
IMHO we’re waiting on the next level coach, and that coach will have a much bigger task with us playing 2/3 of the continent away in the Rust Belt Conference. I do hope this conference move falls apart- I never underestimate what craziness happens at today’s USC/ college landscape.

I have to agree with Scott on this one. The resources they have at USC are way beyond what many schools have, yet they fail year after year.
Good coaches can have bad years. But when the players change and the results dont, there is one problem – the coaches.
Ultimately, the real problem is higher, Bohn and Folt. There is no effective leadership at USC, there are only bureaucrats.
Luckily, it was easy to identify and then entice Lincoln Riley. It only required a big checkbook.

Damn Crabs, UCLA’s house is in order.
UCLA: 11 BB NC’s
bozo BB: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ferever and proud of it.
What a f**king joke, Andyain’twinning has failed to advance from the 1st round 60% of the times he’s made the tournament. How typical of Clown U sycophants to award a 10 year loser like Andyain’twinning 3 cheers and a “Fight On” button.”

Owns, I think your wearing the Bruins gymnastics leotard too tight. Cronin has as many titles as Enfield. Howland had more Final Four appearances than Mick. Unless Jim Harrick comes back then you need to find a way to clone Sam Gilbert and put him in charge of the NIL to get championship #12. UCLA haven’t won since that Marlon Brandon clone left your program alone. Eight claps sounds like a west L A disease.
