USC Saturday Buzz: Waiting For Cornerback

USC completed its sixth practice of the spring on Saturday. USC coach Lincoln Riley said cornerback Christian Roland-Wallace, a transfer from Arizona, twisted an ankle on the first day of spring practice and he’s been held out.

That has opened up opportunities for others and Riley said cornerback Ceyair Wright has been a bright spot the first two weeks. This is interesting because Wright’s role diminished at the end of last season despite the fact he started nine games.

  • The Denver Broncos are hiring LSU defensive line coach Jamar Cain as a pass-rush specialist coach. Cain initially came to USC with Lincoln Riley before quickly going to LSU.
  • Former USC coach Pete Carroll was at the University of Arizona spring practice today.

      Watch the girls from the polynesian pineapple pipeline get abused. I mean damn, they get completely mauled, tossed around like rag dolls. It’s actually quite embarrassing, not a single one looks worth a shit.

      If ‘Ol Mule Shoe learns anything from this workout it should be that he shuts down the polynesian pipeline, don’t waste time or scholarships on any of those girls.

      1. If PC became AD he would have one goal…..to compete and to win NC’s. He wouldn’t be spending his time running a charity(and making big money off of it) like Haden or playing golf like Swann.

    2. Domani Jackson might have aggravated her sprained toenail again, if that’s the case she might be out until mid November.

      If she wants to play D1 Big Boy football she’s going to need to add some weight, being 175 lbs. soaking wet ain’t going to cut it.

    2. I hope so. I’m tired of seeing Gonzaga win playoff games with one second left with 40 foot shots. Gonzaga has had enough miracles for one century. It reminds me of the New England Patriots winning super bowl games by the other team making uncaused errors or with non-football players(kickers)

  5. Ceyair Wright is stronger this year? Perhaps? Domani will probably sink or swim when things start to make sense for him or he pouts about not being anointed and given the spot by inheritance.

    So Pete came by his buddy’s school as a way of giving him props. Good for him. Clearly he misses college football but there’s no way in God’s green earth he takes a job at any college program.

  6. And Jamar Cain would have been the coach for the defensive tackles and outside rushers…Clearly Shaun Nua has shown to be a better producer of NFL pass rushers when you consider how many pro guys he had a direct hand in developing…notice how bad Michigan fell off from the year before?

      1. So he coached at Navy more than two years. No credit for what he did at Michigan. Two defensive lineman go first round but that was not because of him? Tuli gets asked by the NFL how he went from 5 sacks in one year to 13 the next and he credits his position coach but your the authority. Well, your opinion must be great at feeding you, clothing you, loving you more than reality because I don’t think any scouts will heed your opinion about Shaun Nua. Your protestations quantify as flea squat.

    Dont look now but USC has a 6-2 league record in baseball and they are in first place tied with minions of satan (ugly) and aswhoo. Tomorrow they have a chance to sweep WSU.
