It’s now 2 days later and Drew Timme’s footwork is still being discussed?
Every team but one will eventually lose in the NCAA Tournament but I don’t know if anyone else will complain more: The refs; injuries; seeding conspiracies. It’s a media-industrial complex of excuses.
https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsEveryone raves about Drew Timme's footwork but it's time to expose what's really happening down low – snitching if you will – since he's gaining a huge advantage #gonzaga pic.twitter.com/uk2QVrw0ZK

Here’s the counterpoint: The better team won.
https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsSo is this traveling?
— Mark T (@azpalmsmarkt) March 25, 2023
It wasn't called a travel so what's your point?
Not like bruins don't get away with a few to many in every game.
It happens both ways to every team in every sport.
Referees make mistakes and sometimes make a makeup call.
Better team won. pic.twitter.com/bkPEsI3ORz

Gonzaga was the better team at that point in the season. UCLA was missing possibly the best defensive player in the country who could also rebound and score(Clark). They were also missing a guy will be a first round draft choice in a few years(Bona). They got killed on the boards but that was because they were tired. The 5 starters for Gonzaga played 150 minutes. The 5 starters for UCLA played 181 minutes. They were exhausted. Gonzaga had 7 players who were on the court 21 minutes or more. UCLA had 5. Losing 2 key players like that is going to effect the outcome of the game. It’s just not the same team anymore.

We are starting to think for some crazy reason you are a USC football fan but a UCLA basketball fan. How did that happen?

In football, UCLA is definitely the enemy….as is Oregon, Washington, Utah and anyone who might be a threat to USC(schools like California would not fall into that category). In basketball, I like UCLA whereas I have nothing against USC……I just don’t care about USC basketball. Baseball and track, I’m a USC fan only in the sense that if we have a good baseball and track team it may attract some good football players who want to participate in 2 sports.
UCLA is the only college basketball team that I follow. In football I can spend a lot of time on saturday watching college football(teams from the SEC, Big Ten, Big 12……..). But in college basketball I don’t spend all of saturday watching college basketball. I like college basketball but I’m just not into it like college football.

I admire you for that —I love southern California….but I left cuz it hurt me too much to see what was happening to it…. the waste of public money, the skimming off the top, etc. Sometimes I wish I’d stayed to fight the good fight.
Hey, George —I saw a happy guy at Whale Park who was obviously the guest of honor at a family birthday party. The guests were spilling beyond the grass to the sidewalk so I asked this woman what birthday he was celebrating. She merrily told me, “His One Hundredth!”

Mrs, Helton, you must not know LA fans. They are front runners.
I’ve met a lot of people who root for USC in football and SUCLA in basketball. None of them are actually Trojans or Ruins, of course.

All my buddies at work use to bag on me saying ” you’re a 2 timer….you’re a fence rider….you have to be loyal to your school”. I would tell them “It’s not that I am not loyal to my school…..SC is not my school in that sense…..I never went to SC so why is that my school?…..but I am loyal to my teams…..my team is USC in football and UCLA in basketball….I’ve always been that way since I was in my early 20’s and that was a long time ago”. So I may not be loyal to any school but I am loyal to my teams. I’ve followed them for a long time through thick and thin when they were great and when they were not so great.

UConn just bombed Gonzaga 82 – 54. Now that’s a choka, choka, choka choke job…and that’s a fact.
I don’t think the UCLA BB team as constituted would have defeated UConn, but UCLA would not have lost the game by 28 f**king points.

No….the team, as it is, would probably have lost to UCONN but if everyone was healthy including Bona and Clark, I think that I would have picked them over UCONN.

Here’s a fact for you. In the last 15 years Gonzaga has skyrocketed past you and others to be the premier basketball school on the west coast.

UConn mashed Gonzaga, Gonzaga beat UCLA…..Owns, unwittingly, just reinforced the choka, choka, choka, choka job the Bruins. And that’s a fact! Thanks, Owns!
Owns wants to raise a banner up in Pauley “Round of 16, NCAA Tournament, 2023” and “Oh, yea…we would only to lose to UConn by 20 points”. Is this pathetic or what? This is what has become of the once glorious, vaunted bruin basketball program—now just a distant memory.
The pathetic nature of the UCLA fan is something to behold. They are the peasant trying to find the scraps of food on the floor. No honor, just a groveling mess. They are the gofers in the business office. The Nora Desmonds. The sad sacks.

Nora Desmond? UCLA shot William Holden? And left his body face down in the swimming pool? Was it the one right off Sunset Boulevard?

Here’s another fact. In the 15 years you mention, Gonzaga has won exactly ZERO, BB NC’s. Gonzaga tends to lead with their face when they game with better teams. Gonzaga 28 point loss reminds me of a pix of Carmen Basilio’s battered face after a nasty fight.

Lol…. Gonzaga’s beat down reminds me of the beat down Utah put on USC in the PAC 12 championship game 😂
