Duce Robinson Commits To USC

As expected, five-star tight end Duce Robinson has committed to USC.

This will be interesting for several reasons:

With Robinson the No. 1 TE in the nation, it means Lincoln Riley will have to throw the ball to the tight end.

The wild card in all this is baseball. What if Robinson gets an outrageous offer from an MLB team? Will he play both sports?

And if he does both sports, will it hinder his football development? That will all be for Riley to figure out.

    1. Great, just what USC needs another receiver.

As long as Grinch, Nua and the other idiot Donte Williams have anything to do with the defense I guarantee you that USC will have at least 3 losses every year.

‘Ol Mule Shoe will be extremely lucky if he and his Ladies of Troy finish the season 8-4.

      1. Nobody has any idea how Duce will play at the collegiate level and he’s just one player. Lets hope somehow the defense is much improved this year and maybe we can win the conference

  1. USC has clinched the #1 offense for 2023. It doesn’t matter how bad the defense is.
Riley’s wet dream comes true: He wins NC on offense alone.

    1. Paging Don Coryell.

And BTW MG, during the 9er dynasty years, their defense was as good, if not better than the offense.

MG, lest you forget, with good D, the O can have a bad game and still win; however, if the team’s D SUCC’s and O has a bad game…

      #SUCC FB goes 8 – 4 in 2023.

      1. I WISH we were gonna be strong on both sides of the ball —but I listened to Grinch on YouTube and he’s spouting the same kinda bullshit we used to hear from Pendergast and Orlando.
If we score nearly every time we get the ball, we’ll be fine.

      1. Indicted on “30 counts”…OUCH! A special cell for Trump, deep in the “Tombs,” seems appropriate.

The really great thing about Trump’s indictment is it’s a state legal beef, therefore a Ratpublican President can’t pardon the AH.

    1. I bet the coaches don’t like these “Announcements” by high-caliber high-schoolers
when the kid probably knew weeks ago which college he was going to whereby coaches have to plan for ‘is he here or isn’t here’
So it is dandy the offense is coming around but as Ed keeps asking, ‘Defense anybody’

Meanwhile back at the ranch, Trump is basking in the limelight again, I don’t think it bothers him whether it is negative or positive, just so long as people are talking about him. And if he picked up 50-million votes today it still is not enough, I thought about 80-million is what it took to win

    3. I’m amazed the Left is happy with this — I would be outraged if a local prosecutor tried this against Biden. It’s a total waste of public money…not to mention court space & time. There are Statute of Limitations problems, subject matter jurisdiction problems and serious issues of malicious prosecution.

      2. MG: Remember when a “liberal” meant someone who believed in the civil rights of the individual. Liberals sided with the little guy over big government or international corporations, or big pharma. Times have changed. Now so called liberals want the opposition candidate locked up, a disinformation czar as part of the DHS, government mandated experimental vaccines to you and your children or your child cannot attend school and you lose your job and can not travel, FBI investigations into parents who complain about CRT curriculum at school board meetings, censored speech on internet platforms and college campuses, no independent news media, no independent internet providers, no due process for male students on college campuses who are accused of sexual harassment, no speedy trial for those who entered the capital on Jan. 6th, no semi-automatic rifles, no 20 round clips, the government can access your telephone and bank records, and internet searches, ect. It is scary. Even Bill Maher and Alan Dershowitz have begun to wave the caution flag.

You MAGat’s whine and cry 24/7 yet have an empty platform when it comes to fixing the issues you bitch about. It’s really hard for me to take you seriously. It’s laughable how you cherry-pick details to fuel your narrative.

      4. You know MG I might be inclined to agree with you had Trump been indicted on 1 or 2 counts…but 30 counts is quite a different story.

There must have been a small contingent of Trump voters littering the Manhattan Grand Jury and still Trump is slapped with a pile of chgs.

It’s good for the world to see the US is still a nation governed by law regardless of your former or future political success.

I’m just sorry the Bush Jr., wasn’t prosecuted for mass murder vis-a-vis his bogus invasion of Iraq.

One wonders what will happen first; the US will locate Iraq’s WMD or OJ will prove who did Ron and Nicole.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Bush Jr. tried for War Crimes over the Iraq invasion. [And I wouldn’t mind seeing Biden tried for financing the one in Ukraine — it’s beginning to look like just got outta the one in Afghanistan so he could spend money on one that’s more beneficial to the family fortune].

      6. MG,
You make it clear now how much you are so opposed to the U.S. getting involved in overseas conflicts but what was your position at the time when W and Cheney told us we had to invade Iraq or we’d all die? Not too many conservatives back then dared disagree with the party line.
        Be honest.

I thought Bush’s b.s. about “mushroom clouds” if we didn’t attack Baghdad was hugely immoral. I felt the same about Tony Blair’s b.s. [and I was appalled when it was reported England’s Doctor Kelly, who wrote a government paper on the absence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, committed “suicide” on his daily walk ….and when I heard the news Senator Wellstone, who was the only serious opponent to the war, got killed in a private “plane crash” on a sunny day]….

  4. So Trump is still 33 votes behind Biden? No wonder DeSantis is running! Robinson is a great addition. But what happens when they play teams that can control the offensive line? Not having elite linemen can become a factor against certain lineups like Oregon.

Then again, having the number one pick in the 2024 draft leaves no excuses.

      1. Don’t miss the legal issue, Gabby. New York doesn’t have jurisdiction over federal election laws. Even if it did, it missed filing before the Statute of Limitations expired. Even if they got in under the wire, the case will have to be dismissed on due process grounds as a result
of the D. A’s pre-election comments abut Trump.
Once you file a criminal case you face 4 possible results —you win at trial & it sticks, you win at trial and get reversed on appeal [and get embarrassed], you lose at trial [and get embarrassed] or you get thrown out of court due to defective pleadings [and really get embarrassed]. I’m telling you now odds are this ain’t gonna turn out the way you want it to.

I’ll vote for either side or any candidate running on a campaign to reduce their size and reach. Also, term limits for all elected positions.

  8. With a tight end like that, I’m sure LR will re-do his offense to get the ball to him. I think that the main reason why LR didn’t throw to the tight ends last year is because all he had were blocking tight ends. There are blocking tight ends and there are receiving tight ends. LR had blocking tight ends. Now that he has got one that can be a potent receiver, I’m sure he will use him. Quite often he will use him like he used Drake London. As far as baseball is concerned, I hope he plays for SC. I think SC has a chance to win a NC under Andy Stankowicz.

  9. SC ended up with 4 great receivers in this class……Branch, Lemon, Robinson and don’t forget JaKobe Lane. Those 4 guys caught 252 passes last year…..Branch had 43, Lane had 65, Lemon had 69 and Robinson had 75. Then you have all the other receivers coming back from last year and the Arizona kid in the transfer portal. There’s going to be a lot of competition out there. SC will be the #1 offense in the country. The big question is the defense.
