USC Notes: Big Win For Legacy

Joelle Trepagnier, the daughter of former USC basketball player Jeff Trepagnier and ex-Trojan sprinter Malika Edmonson, had a big day at the California State Track and Field championships.

The Culver City High School sprinter won the 200 meters (23.62); ran a 52.11-second anchor lap to give the Centaurs the victory in the 4×400 relay and finished second in the 400 meters with a time of 53.55.

  • Oregon defeated Arizona, 5-4, in the championship game of the Pac-12 Baseball Tournament.
  • This high school baseball game in New York ended in heartbreaking fashion for team that thought it won the championship.

  1. Heartbreaker, and similar to last night when Miami came from 9 points down with less than 3 minutes to go, and went ahead with 3 free throws on a fouled 3-pointer with 3 seconds to play, only to then lose it on a missed shot but a put-back with .1 seconds.

History is about to be made with a team coming from 0-3 and winning it after 150 straight failures. Amazing!

  2. Wow baseball rules are confusing. Why were both teams wearing red? Anyway I kept seeing Korn Fairy being bandied about in the previous post and wondered if Ed G. leaves cobs under his pillow when he needs more korn?
