Nothing Like A Self-Serving Gesture

USC put up some banners on campus of “Title IX Trailblazers” and look who made the cut: Carol Folt!

I’m sure whoever ordered the banners didn’t feel the slightest need to make sure they included the university president.

Just like the second banner just happens to include Willow Bay, the dean of the school of communications.

    1. Too many names! Only THREE names should go on that banner — Queens Elizabeth the First & Second…..

  1. It takes a special kind of courage to put the President’s name on that banner.

  2. Generally speaking the women get more excited about their games than the men-folk
Giving women a fair chance at sport was a long time in coming
And still most sports men resent Title-9
Historically women have always had to get through men to obtain their freedoms

      1. #8, nice rear view. But I digress.

Is Hawaii going to celebrate Fuck Haole Day this year or going to postpone it while waiting for shipping containers of rebuilding materials from the mainland?
I figured there would be the best chance of you seeing this if I located the post next to this video.

      2. Just got an email [late Friday —the kind of timing you expect from the present administration when it issues executive orders authorizing weird expenditures] telling us home insurance is going up…way up.
btw, if you were to ask Hawaiian officials what they’d do differently if another fire arose during a wind storm they’d say, “Stop being disrespectful to those who perished.”

    1. USC gets 2 picks to start the season. I am sure at least one fumble recovery as it is first game jitters. Caleb will leave the game with 300+ yards passing to give Moss and Malachi some PT.

  3. I like to figure out betting angles, like SC 30.5 over San Jose St–
Figuring the Spartans might score 17-24 points
means for SC to win for its bettors it has to score 48-55 points
You get the ball, what, 8-10 times a game for a possible 56-70 points
And it is a football game at the college level meaning
    toughly-motivated kids on both sides.
You best not think talent alone will win the day

    1. Too many unknowns. Is Riley trying to establish Caleb as Heisman frontrunner? Will Caleb come out if & when we reach 50? Will nervous receivers drop perfect balls?

      1. And it figures there will be an SC fumble-interception at some point
        reducing Trojan possessions
This San Jose quarterback can throw and run too– an SC nemesis-
he may be good for a couple of long Spartan drives eating up the clock
Wiley for sure wants to play a lot of guys, further frustrating chemistry

        Besides, from a gambling point-of-view,
I like the sound of being ahead 30-0 to start the game!

      2. If the ball bounces our way, 31-0 at halftime sounds about right. After that it depends on how much substitution Riley feels like getting into…
