USC Becomes Mississippi State West

Cornerback DeCarlos Nicholson of Mississppi State committed to USC. He has appeared in 25 career games with seven starts.

Apparently, Mississippi State is the key to USC’s success because Bulldogs tailback Jo’quavious Marks also committed. He averaged 63 yards a game and I’m not sold yet on how big an impact he will make.

Nicholson had 42 tackles and no interceptions in 12 games. His selling point is that he is tall (6-3).

Meanwhile, tight end Walter Matthews and defensive back Isaiah Rubin signed their letters of intent. They were the final two recruits USC needed.

Rivals ranks USC’s class at No. 21. 247 has USC at No. 18.

      2. Got it Mike but I still believe Lincoln Riley either ‘plays the man’ or leaves indelibly marked w.o. having won a NC at 2 legacy programs consecutively (OK & USC) and I doubt that is what he wants to happen – change is coming.

      3. Hard to believe people would vote for Newsome. When he took office California had a $60 billion surplus. Today, after his short time in office, California is $180 billion in the hole. Everyone I know is at least considering leaving Cali(myself included). He’s destroyed California. You want this guy to run the country.
        Having said that, I must admit, I would not put anything past the american people. Back in the 50’s americans were the smartest people in the world. Today…….not too smart. I blame the public schools for that.

  6. This going to the portal to replace portal transfers is not a way to sustain a culture of development. Until LR n staff can focus on player development they cannot compete if you don’t give valuable for soph real playing time to see if you need to go in the portal Why couldn’t they give Joyner Peterson a chance to be the starter. The big back will probably get more carrys than both of them next year. Then they will be in the portal maybe after spring. Don’t like this new age of player movement it’s wrecking college football. No more pure joy of competition just pure greed on tv network executives. billionaire donors n political people making it easy for capitalism for every party involved.

  7. Most of these footballers are not in school to get an education
    but college is a necessary stepping stone to get in the NFL

    I used to like the Rose Bowl where true west coast guys played
    true midwest guys. Now teams are like the United Nations of America

    But it is still ol’ SC for me win or lose
