In Memoriam: Dick Leach

Dick Leach coached the USC men’s tennis team to three NCAA titles (1991, 93-94). Leach coached 35 All-Americans in his 23-year tenure at USC. He was also an All-American tennis player at USC in 1961 and a star singles and doubles player.

Leach coached the USC men’s tennis team for 23 years (1980-2002) and was named Pac-10 coach of the year four times.

His sons, Rick and Jon, were both All-Americans at USC. Rick was a four-time All-American.

  2. SC has had great tennis teams and coaches as long as I can remember,just like track,baseball,swimming…from the early 50’s right through the years of Coach Leach.

    We all have the same goal, the success of USC football and all things related to it. Let’s nurture that goal and stop attacking others. I offer a handshake on it…

    I am sure So Cal and I will occasionally butt-heads, it adds a little spice to the blog, and a few members kind of enjoy it.

When was the last time you received a “like” click from someone other than one of your 15 or 20 aliases. Did anyone click “like” when you continually posted video clips of large animals taking a dump? Did anyone click “like” when you posted about two headed black dildos, or how you wanted to have a penis sword fight with other bloggers, or your fantasies about the size and shape and ethnicities of penis’, or how someone has a tight ass? No, because this blog is not designed for homosexual perverts and their fantasies. Find another blog for your sodomite garbage.   9. Here’s a question, will the team finish ranked in the top 25 with an 8-5 record. Comparing records, last season the final CFP poll had an 8-5 South Carolina team finish at 22.

  10. COACH LEACH WAS A FANTASTIC TENNIS COACH AND A BETTER PERSON. HE GAVE MY SON, CHRISTIAN JENSEN, AN OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND USC (1999-2003), PLAY TENNIS AND WIN A TENNIS NATIONAL CHAMPIOSNHIP IN 2002, OVER THE YEARS, I PLAYED LOTS OF TENNIS MATCHES WITH DICK AT THE JOHN WAYNE TENNIS CLUB IN NEWPORT BEACH. HE WAS A FABULOUS TENNIS PLAYER. OUR JENSEN FAMILY COULD BE ONE OF THE FEW FAMILIES TO HAVE WON 2 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS IN TWO SEPERATE SPORTS AT USC. ME, BOB JENSEN 1967 FOOTBALL NATIONAL CHAMPIONS, 29-2-2 AND CHRISTIAN, 2002 USC TENNIS NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.
