USC Notes: Musselman’s Staff Taking Shape

Eric Musselman has at least three assistant coaches so far, all from Arkansas. His son, Michael, Todd Lee and Anthony Ruta will join him at USC.

The big question is whether Keith Smart, who was associate head coach at Arkansas, will follow Musselman to USC? Smart was a candidate for the Fresno State job but did not get it. He is best known for hitting the game-winning shot for Indiana to beat Syracuse in the NCAA championship game in 1987.

Musselman’s other son, Matthew, was a graduate assistant at Arkansas so it would be no surprise if he follows his father. Caleb Cline is USC’s new director of basketball operations. He was also at Arkansas last season.

  • There was a false story over the weekend that Princess Salma of Jordan, a recent USC graduate, shot down drones headed for Israel. The fact she is the first female fighter pilot for her country is impressive enough.

    1. Carol Folt and USC preaches Diversity Equity & Inclusion. Politically-speaking not at all. Our way or the highway you “MAGA” racists! Well 75 million voted for Trump in the last election. Let that sink in.
