Graduation Blues

USC is holding its satellite graduation ceremonies on Friday.

But it closing all parking structures to the public and making only one available to employees.

That’s not going to be a fun day at all for the students who are graduating.

USC recommends rideshare or public transportation. Oh, sure.

And even if you do that, there will be metal detectors for the five security checkpoints. USC recommends getting to campus two hours early.

  • Remember how USC is staging a “celebration” at the Coliseum on Thursday night to make up for canceling the main graduation? Well, families and students attending will still have to pay $25 to park in the Coliseum lots.
  • Parking will be free at the Coliseum the next day, Friday, when far fewer people will be visiting.

  3. Scooter,

Simple solution to parking, park on the east side of the Harbor Freeway. That is where SC fans park to go to the game. They can park at the DMV. This is worse than a joke, it is a horrible situation because of Political Correctness and fear from the protestors. Feel sorry for the graduation class.
