Deja Vu All Over Again At USC

USC has done it again. For the second straight year at the athletes’ graduation ceremony, it has given out the “Willis O’Hunter” Award, which is named after Willis O. Hunter.

I thought last year that this was a social media error but it’s even spelled wrong on the official list of awards for athletes. I bet the plaque/trophy handed out to the athletes has his named spelled wrong too. Shameful.

What’s sad is that Hunter was athletic director for 32 years (1925-57) at USC but is largely forgotten today, unfortunately. He presided over USC’s transformation into a national championship power in many sports.

And now they can’t even spell his name right.

  1. Does anyone know if the Coliseum Commission ever remove that goofy looking caricature of John McKay in the peristyle that was unveiled some 20+ yrs ago especially since USC has ‘control’ of the venue?

  2. Tough to be famous when most people cannot even name all the U.S. presidents, and you would have to be at least 55 years old to have even been aware of John McKay at SC

      1. The NY Post is a gossip rag, dumbass. A major red flag for trump is Haley getting double-digit votes in state primaries when she dropped out of the race over two months ago. I am sure you lack the intellectual capacity to comprehend what that means.

when are you meeting gabby for your ass whipping, blog dunce, aka pussy boy

      2. The NY Post is one of the most reputable news outlets we have, at least they are when they report something I agree with.
