USC Academic Senate Censures Carol Folt

USC’s academic senate voted to censure President Carol Folt and Provost Andrew Guzman on Wednesday, citing “widespread dissatisfaction and concern among the faculty” about USC’s handling of recent problems that have dominated the news on campus.

The academic senate is the representative body of the faculty. The censure vote was 21-7. The Academic Senate tabled a vote of no confidence against Folt and Guzman.

A bit harsh So Cal. I certainly don’t agree with everything Michael says but I think his goal is a noble one – to keep the blog together. In pursuit of that goal he tends to try to boost people up including Gabby and in doing so tends to say some things that leave me baffled. I understand how that is frustrating at times given Gabby’s bad behavior toward so many of us but particularly you. Calling you a pedophile is absolutely atrocious. But I will give Michael some slack because I think he is a genuinely good person who is trying to do a good thing and I suspect you think the same. And without the back and forth from Michael this blog would not be worth reading with the exception of the Friday column. It is always difficult to keep everybody happy.

      4. The pedophile thing doesn’t bother me. It’s just another example of her projecting.

Her basis was my reaction to her having sick thoughts merely because Wolf mentioned a youthful looking 20 year old attending a game. No one else’s mind went to “sick” but the blog’s true pervert & pedo. Anyone who’s been here a while knows that.

I especially liked: “He tends to try to boost people up including Gabby and in doing so tends to say some things that leave me baffled.”

You’re not alone on the last part of that sentence. It IS noble of him, but the Village Idiot actually thinks it’s sincere.

  1. Hope Scott gets us the actual wording of the censure [does it reference how matters would have been handled by the geniuses on the faculty?]….

      1. What an open-ended, incoherent mess. Maybe the lazy, jacksy-offsky faculty should run the wording of their censures past a publicist before they send them out…..

  2. The problem with Folt and the faculty is they have a vision for the university that is akin to Columbia. Their vision is to destroy the merit based capitalistic economy and replace it with the BLM DEI Marxist economy. There goal is to indoctrinate students with this vision. Teach them to hate white men and disrespect their own country and rebel against it. The only solution is to defund the universities, fire the administrators and faculty and start again. I don’t trust Folt but I trust the faculty even less.

      1. Yes Gabby my proposal to re-do the university system is a wild dream. But it must occur if the universities and country are to survive. If you were a parent, and your child could go to any university, would you send them to Columbia or Duke. Yale or Michigan. These leftist universities are going to pay a price. Folt needs to dramatically pivot the direction of the university or in 5 years it will be far less relevant. I remember hiring a lawyer from Loyola over one from Cal/Boalt because in part I wondered if the Berkley guy was infected with Berkley values.

    1. I’ve never been crazy abut Folt. She’s a phony. But, given the messes still ongoing at major universities across the country, I think it’s fair to say Folt effectively contained the USC protests. The funny thing about her present situation is she’s about to be eaten alive by the loser faculty she herself pampered & courted.

  6. Scooter,

I can take this two ways and they are:

the senate did not like what happened on campus and they believe that it could have been avoided if Folt the Dolt would have acted sooner by kicking the terriorists off campus, or like other’s said, she is not liberal enough by no supporting the terriorists hamas supporters.

    Which one is it?

  7. Just when I started to feel a little sorry for ‘Without-a-Folt’ I realized she gets almost $4-million a year or every week her ‘paycheck is $80,000, so I figure at that price you better be able to take a little heat

  9. I only disagree with Folt in this instance for canceling main graduation. Valedictorian candidate Asna Tabassum wasn’t properly vetted for her anti-Semitic or anti-Israel viewpoints (“hate speech”). Agree with arresting the protesters, many of whom were outsiders with no ties to USC.

Carol, the grape. USC Faculty, the left.

    What an embarrassment…
