USC basketball star commit Alijah Arenas was involved in a serious car crash early Thursday morning, hospitalized and placed into an induced coma, according to Shams Charania.
TMZ reports Arenas crashed his Tesla Cybertruck in a Los Angeles neighborhood and emergency responders arrived at the scene at 4:55 a.m. By the time fire dept. personnel arrived, everyone had made it out of the truck but the front of the vehicle was ablaze, TMZ said.
Arenas is a five-star prospect from Chatsworth High School and the son of former NBA player Gilbert Arenas. Chatsworth does not have school today.
Charania reported the truck “crashed into a tree/fire hydrant with fire involved” and said initial tests revealed Arenas did not suffer any broken bones.

Noting good happens after midnight. The drunks are out on the roads then. I’ve seen them weaving down the Conejo Grade.

Yes. This is a very serious report. Generally, your placed in a medically induced coma following a traumatic brain injury.

Terrible. I hope airbag deployed properly, induced coma often is for traumatic brain injury/swelling.
