Morning Buzz: USC Never Stops Paying

There are many reasons USC finds itself in a financial hole that I have previously listed.

But here are a couple salaries that stick out. A former provost, who was moved out in 2019, was still getting paid more than $700,000 in 2023. And former president Max Nikias, who resigned in 2018, was paid more than $900,000 in 2023.

  • Five-star guard Jason Crowe of Inglewood will announce his college choice Friday. Missouri is believed to be the frontrunner.

    1. A successful football coach earns his money. You can justify his salary by looking at increased revenues from TV packages, ticket sales, brand sales, donations, ect. when the team has a winning season.

      Folt did not earn her salary. She is like a fungible product, thousands of people could have done her job. The university has a 200 million deficit. That is on her and the Board of Trustees. And giving 700,000 to some jackass provost is ridiculous. How much revenue did he/she generate. No professor or administrator should earn over $250,000 other than perhaps the medical school unless they can generate grants and donations that justify their salary.

We were doing nothing. This open borders nightmare flooded our country with fentanyl and with people that shouldn’t be here, some of the worst people on earth, and illicit drugs decimated American communities and left us with the largest law enforcement challenge in our country’s history, and hopefully it will always be the largest.

    I can’t imagine anything being worse. They allowed millions and millions of criminals into our country, 11,888 murders, 50% of whom murdered more than one person. On day one of the Trump administration, we declared an all out war on the dealers, smugglers, traffickers, and cartels. Within moments of taking office, I deployed the US military to our border and unleashed the patriots of ICE and border patrol to defend our country from an invasion. This was an invasion. This wasn’t people coming in. This was an invasion of our country allowed to happen by people either that didn’t care or were just stupid people, stupid people. I also designated the Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.

We had 12 million unvetted people or more enter the country illegally under Biden in accordance with a plan by the Democrats to flip Texas and gain Congressional seats and otherwise gain political power. Clearly, some are criminal gang members, drug dealers, human smugglers, Islamic terrorists, ect. What should we do about it. Just turn our heads and say “we are a country of immigrants.” Borders define countries. This is a national security issue.

    1. The Santa Monica, Palisades, Malibu communities were Democratic strongholds. They voted for people like Bass and Newsom. Wonder if their politics will change now that Democratic incompetence and failed policies have directly effected them. Reservoir not repaired, no water in the hydrants, inadequate fire department budgets, fire trucks out of service for years, can’t get a permit to rebuild, and now the homeless and felons are going to live next door.
