Notes: USC Lagging In Coaches’ Poll

USC did not make the USA Today coaches’ preseason top 25 poll that was released today.

The Trojans finished 29th. Texas is No. 1. Notre Dame is No. 5. Oregon is No. 7. The full poll is here.

  • USC offensive lineman DJ Wingfield’s lawsuit has been transferred to the same federal judge (James Selna) hearing UCLA transfer Kaedin Robinson and San Diego transfer Jagger Giles’s cases.
  • It’s winter at USC today as the campus doubles for a fictional college for a new HBO series starring Steve Carell. The school is called Ludlow College.

Does Ludlow have no president and a football coach who refuses to meet alumni/staff/students?

  1. Big Idea: USC actually transitions into Ludlow College —no debt, no Marxist Law Center, new football coach….

  2. Isn’t Ludlow College in some rural area of England? How do you disguise South Central LA as pastoral England?

Ed. G can probably figure that out…

      1. Yes, Blue is a negative …..But here’s a positive: ESPN announced it’s willing to negotiate a 12 game Prime Time Deal [the one USC wanted] with Ludlow College…..

      1. How many do you know who have passed more than one? I know a few who have passed the CPA and bar. Each of them said the CPA was more difficult. And from what they knew of the actuarial exam, none of them wanted to even consider it.

      2. I know 10 or 12 people who took both —and they each said the CPA exam was a Big Joke compared to the bar exam….

      3. One difference So Cal is that the CPA exam is in 4 parts. You don’t have to pass all 4 parts on one exam. If you pass 3 of the 4 parts, or even 2 of the 4, you can take a second exam exclusively on the part that you did not pass. That is a big deal.
