A Shocking Under-The-Radar Result

The USC women’s volleyball team lost to unseeded Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in the NCAA Tournament at the Galen Center.

Talk about an unexpected result. Or was it really? The women’s volleyball has not reached the heights discussed by many when Mike Bohn hired Brad Keller.

The Trojans had a good regular season (25-7) but this is a program that has won six national championships and when you lose to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, it mars whatever happened during the season.

        Long ago a serial burglar was brought to trial in my courtroom on murder charges. Near midnight he entered the home of the victims, two young men, allegedly to confront them over their intrusion into what he considered his territory. He claimed that during a heated argument the duo drew handguns and he merely responded, killing both in self-defense. The medical examiner testified that both of the decedents were shot in the back of the head at close range, execution style. At sentencing, with friends and relatives of the victims present, I asked the defendant if he had anything he’d like to share. He smiled and said, “Looks like I won’t be attending the class reunion this summer.”  My disgusted response: “True. This summer. And every summer thereafter.” Then I sentenced him to two life terms without possibility of parole. He laughed as he passed by friends and family of the victims on his way out of the courtroom. That vile, noxious miscreant inhabited  an impenetrable self-delusional dimension, the same dimension where fake Gabby dwells.

  2. Coach Keller must leave now. Done very little in his years at USC.

    It was a disgrace losing to Cal Poly on your home court.

    Beat them bad in the 4th set and completely fold in the short final set.

    Never past the 2nd round. The Athletic Dept. sticks with a number of loser Head Coaches who must be paid cheap.

      1. KAM: Washington was ranked preseason 12th out of 18 in the Big Ten.

        DON: Maybe if SC played a decent preseason against some Top 20 opponents they would have been ready for Big Ten play. They have more patsies like Brown and University of San Diego coming up!

      Cowardly Gabby embarrasses himself with every post. But why does he do it. Here is an excerpt from a recent abstract on why narcissistic personalities engage in antisocial behavior. It could be one of two reasons or both.

  4. DON: You can have college playoff football with BYU being steamrolled, Alabama bloodied, and then Ohio St-Indiana putting everybody to sleep.
