USC Replaces Notre Dame With Mighty San Jose State

USC will host San Jose State at the Coliseum on August 29th.

This is the replacement for Notre Dame. Congratulations!

It was expected that USC would find a cupcake because that is what Lincoln Riley wants for non-conference games.

So instead of playing Notre Dame on Thanksgiving weekend, USC will play San Jose State on a hot August day.

Remember when Jen Cohen said USC would play at least one Power 4 non-conference opponent? Not in 2026.

  1. Scheduling SJ State to replace ND is about as weak as popping off & pretending you’re a tough guy, then saying you’ll back it up if the other person drives 100+ miles!

  2. AS A FORMER TROJAN PLAYER TEAM CAPTAIN, AND PLAYED IN 1966-1970, I AM TOTALLY EMBARRASSED BY THE TWITS, RILEY AND COHEN. THE GREATEST INTERSECTIONAL GAME EVER FOR OVER 100 YEARS, AND THESE MORONS CONTINUE TO SCREW UP.

CAN WE PLEASE FIRE RILEY AND STAFF AND GET SOME COMPETENT FOOTBALL MINDS. I WAS SO FORTUNATE TO PLAY FOR JOHN MCKAY AND STAFF, 4 ROSE BOWLS, NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. RECORD IF 31-2-2 .

WAY TO GO AND TAKE THE CUPCAKE ROUTE INSTEAD OF PLAYING BIG TIME FOOTBALL.

  3. I read recently that USC is the ONLY Power 5 school that does not have Power 5 Non-Conference Opponent already scheduled in the next 3-4 years or so. Teams scheduled in 2027 &2028 are UNLV, Nevada, & Fresno State again. There are some openings so hopefully ??

  4. SC already has an impossible 2026 schedule consisting of Ohio St., Washington, Oregon and Penn St. Add Notre Dame on to that and there would be no Playoffs for the Trojans
