Chad “Charmin” Bowden is at it again.
He spoke this week on Trojans Live about USC’s schedule
“We cannot wait to play in those games,” Bowden said.
Was he talking about playing San Jose State or Louisiana?
Of course not. No doubt he was referring to Oregon, Ohio State, Indiana, etc.
But not Notre Dame, of course.
Let’s recall what he said last season before USC played the Irish:
“We can play against anybody in the country it doesn’t matter what logo or where you’re from. Midwest. Blue Blood. We’re just as tough as anybody.”
Uh huh. He counts on people not remembering what he says. I’m not sure why people like Bowden cannot let the Trojans do their talking on the field.
Scott, do you also remember the ND coach saying that they would play USC anytime during the season when USC requested that they play ND as the first game. What happened to that boarst by your Irish. You tend to be very selective with your memory. And, yes, USC does have a great schedule this year, in fact it is one of the best in the country and very challenging. ND gets to play BYU, Miami, Clemson and nine stiffs. Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962. By the way, how come you aren’t interviewing Bowden. He appears on other broadcasts.

Tim Thessalone put Wolfy on a do not “fly” list years ago. The document has been placed in Fort Knox, he never have access.
Wolf would reply by saying, “interview CLR or GM, no that is not who I am.”

Ambitious — Do you think it would be a good idea for USC to invite Scott back into the fold ….in the hope he would reciprocate with gentler assessments of their football program?

“We’re just as tough as anybody.”
I think that will be the reality starting this year. Bowden deserves credit for landing the number 1 recruiting class and that class is composed of lots of guys who will dominate the line of scrimmage in the coming years. Guys like Wafle, Winfield, Tom Tom, Kolojay, Pepe, Deniz, Smith and Dyakonov. This is exactly what the program needed. The future is bright.

KAM: But not this year.
DON: Give the recruits time to develop- that is, if they stay more than a year before Lane Kiffin and the other top coaches offer them millions and swoop them up.

The NG transfer from Michigan State is the key. If we can clog up the interior run lanes, our defense will be good. Stewart, Bouchard, and Kam Crawford should all standout next year and I can’t wait to see Luke Wafle at mid season. He will be a first round draft pick. The following year, with Winfield and Tom Tom, we will be even better.

psssst: hey man, don’t you know the protocol in here is for trOJans to be thin-skinned and defensive any time wolfman is less than obsequious to The Man??
i’m no trOXan, but personally, i find blogs run by dyed-in-the-wool homers are truly boring! these jive turkeys in here who complain about wolfman don’r realize they have the best local beat writer in the business who is nationally respected! when a new trOJan scandal breaks, everyone in the national media knows you try to get the wolfman on their show!! wolfman is also one of a small handful of writers who was both an AP voter for football AND basketball polls.
for my part, i would throw 100 trOJans into an active volcano if that’s what if took to get wolfman to switch to covering UCLA sports!!

Men will be barred from using parts of an on-campus gym at the University of Southern California under a new initiative to make women and non-binary gym-goers feel more comfortable while working out.
The Student Assembly for Gender Empowerment (SAGE) pushed for the new rules in partnership with the Lyon Center, a recreational facility controlled by the university.
SAGE describes itself as a “programming assembly and intersectional feminist organization under the student government, committed to uplifting all voices oppressed by the patriarchy.”

The plan excludes men from working out in portions of the Robinson Room at the Lyon Center on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 11 a.m., according to the Daily Trojan student newspaper.
Student Mengze Wu, a senior majoring in neuroscience, the moved is meant to address her discomfort working out in “men-dominated.”
“My past experiences with being in enclosed spaces where it’s very men-dominated have never been super pleasant,” Wu told the Daily Trojan. “There tends to be this problem where I don’t get to take up a lot of space unless I really assert myself. And even then, I face a lot of hindrance in feeling completely comfortable.”

Jana Alnajjar, a sophomore majoring in philosophy, politics, and law who acts as SAGE’s advocacy liaison, told the publication that she’s “heard from multiple women and non-binary students who want to be involved in different workout spaces but don’t feel comfortable being at the gym.”
“Whether it’s being approached regularly or feeling judged, over time that discomfort leads students to stop going to the gym altogether,” she added.
Under university policy, usage of recreational centers is restricted to authorized students, staff, faculty, and approved guests, without discrimination.
Alnajjar said the initiative was carefully planned over several months, beginning last fall with meetings and revisions. She first contacted the Lyon Center to create a designated space for women and non-binary students while ensuring it remained open to all under university policy.
“Because of university constraints and current federal restrictions on DEI, there was a lot of back and forth on whether this would even be viable,” she told the Daily Trojan. “How can we do it and advertise it so students know it’s a space for them, but still open to all?”
