USC Morning Buzz: It’s Always Good When Former Players Speak Out

Most former USC players are not happy with the cancellation of the Notre Dame series.

Among those who have spoken out is radio host Sean Salisbury: “Both universities should be ashamed of themselves. I don’t care whose fault it is. I’m not cutting my university any slack on this. We should never have been to this point.”

That’s a much stronger take than another former USC QB (Matt Leinart).

  • The Sparks announced they will honor former USC basketball player Lisa Leslie with a statue outside Crypto.com arena It will be unveiled Sept. 20.
  • Here is the rest of my offensive depth chart. There could still be some movement in training camp or flipping of positions but these are the core players.

And I still think the offensive line is a question mark although most media view it favorably.

  1. since SC always seems to have a cadre of Polynesians, a soon as Bitcoin gets back to $125K, i am proud to announce the opening of Bucket’s Hawaiian BBQ across the street from SC’s ShawShank-like penitentiary walls!!

All the HI favorites, Span Musubi only $1.00 on Fridays (in honor if wolfman’s legendary Fri Blogs), featuring the Pete Carroll Sandwich (100% Ham) and the Wolfman Sandwich (Beef Tongue w/ spicy mustard).

Of course, wolfman eats for free.

    1. How about the Terry Donahue ? Made from pounded taro root, this fermented, pastel-like starch is known for a thick, gummy texture, sour taste, and aroma that some compare to paste or sour glue

Or the John Wooden ??? A stew-like dish made with spinach-like luau leaves, coconut milk, and squid/octopus, often criticized for having a slimy texture and fishy, metallic taste.

Or the Bruin Softball Team ? This chilled layered pie consists of a base of chocolate pudding and whipped cream topping, and in between, there is a layer of haupia (a gelatinous coconut pudding made with coconut milk, cornstarch, and sugar). The pie also contains an outer shell, a pie crust that’s baked until golden brown. Before serving, this Hawaiian staple is usually garnished with chocolate shaving over the whipped cream topping. Haupia pie can be found as a signature dish at most coffee shops and bakeries in Hawaii.

Or the Red Sanders aka Dirty Monkey ?? A mix of rum, Kahlua, banana liqueur, cream of coconut, and chocolate syrup. It often tastes like a banana split mixed with a piña colada, which can be far too rich, sweet, and heavy.

  3. Funny, how the “moderator” never tells Bucket this. Gee, I wonder why. LOL!! (No I don’t. We all know why.)

WHAT DOES YOUR REPLY HAVE TO DO WITH INSIDE USC.

I KNOW IT’S HARD, BUT TRY TO FOCUS ON THE THREAD TOPIC

  4. Killian O’ Connor is too small for major college football.

Move Tobias Raymond now the backup center to the starting center, and slide in Kennyi Pepe to replace Raymond at guard. Pepe, is probably the key recruit USC has needed on the offensive line for a long time, and should start right away he is that good.

  5. I actually like Killian at C. He may not play at the next level, but his football smarts are off the charts. It was noticed when he went out with the injury against Illinois. His being limited in spring probably sets up his recovery for playing this season pretty well. But that said, we do have talent behind him in Tobias Raymond, who is definitely not in the J’Onre Reed mold, but who has not yet played any snaps at center. Kennyi Pepe is a beast, and might very well be the best of our latest recruiting class, and I think he will get his playing time soon enough.

  6. Those are a lot of freshmen backing up the first string linemen. They may be talented but the offensive line as a whole takes time to develop

If SC just took care of business and was competitive in October at Notre Dame the Trojans would not have been asking for a change to September
