Pitcher Diego Velasquez, who started an elimination game against Texas State two weeks ago, has entered the transfer portal.
Velasquez had a 5-1 record with a 4.26 ERA in 31 innings this season. He was a freshman this past season.
USC has had four pitchers enter the portal so far but obviously the important thing is that Grant Govel and Andrew Johnson remain.
- USC has hired Keith Zuniga of Hawaii as its new pitching coach. Hawaii’s pitching staff was one of four teams, along with North Carolina, Oregon State and UC Santa Barbara, ranked in the top 20 nationally in ERA each of the past three years.
- USC received a commitment from commitment from Long Beach State pitcher Tyler Gebb, who was 3-0 with a 3.44 ERA.
No one happy to pitch for Stinkewitz. His use oƒ the bullpen was
atrocious in the playoffs.

I don’t know…1 bad inning late in the game and “…No one happy to pitch for Stinkewitz…” That’s quite a blunt statement that seems riddled with personal angst.
They win that game 3 against NC, it’s onto Omaha they didn’t – they did better than Ucla – are the Bruin players unhappy with John Savage?
BTW just who replaces Stankiewicz….you?

KAM:The demographic cliff is here.
Syracuse offered students significant discounts to attend but still ended up under-enrolled. The university has already offered buyouts to 175 professors and closed 93 majors.
DON: And the population of 18-year-olds “will decline for the next 15 years. Will this affect USC?

Maybe USC should go after some of the UCLA players. Kill two birds with one stone. Make yourself stronger and your enemy weaker.

The proposed deal calls for an open Strait of Hormuz without any charging of vessels. Your representation is an outright lie.

It is not what Iran claims. It is what the deal says. You have misrepresented the deal by suggesting that vessels will be charged by Iran and that the President accepted this term by stating “no deal is perfect.” That is not true.

USC needs to start paying NIL money to athletes in all sports, not just football and basketball. Trust Coach Andy to get pitchers from the portal, and he has a great reputation for developing players. Scott is right about the key being Govel and Johnson staying. Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962

Thanks Gabby. The Greek ideal of education is truly inspiring. My how these ideals have drifted. Dennis Prager calls the present day university “seminaries for leftist/atheist indoctrination.”
