USC Morning Buzz: The Hits Keep Coming For Baseball

The hits just keep coming for USC baseball. Former Hawaii pitcher Brody MartinGrudzielanek has committed to Oregon.

It was thought USC might land him because his brother played at USC and because the Trojans recently hired Hawaii pitching coach Keith Zuniga.

It also appears Oregon found some NIL for baseball because it now has nine transfers committed, including USC first baseman Adrian Lopez. A few weeks ago, Oregon fans were complaining that the Ducks did not invest in baseball (like USC). That seems to have changed.

Does anyone care about USC baseball?

    1. This situation reminds me of the episode in Dobie Gillis when Dobie decides to support the guy running against his Dad for Mayor. His Dad, disguised in a wig and mustache at a campaign event, interrupts Dobie talking about how the candidate he prefers to his Dad has taught him ALL the virtues…

….. “ALL the virtues? What about Loyalty? Is that a Virtue?”

  2. This is bad news. USC had a baseball booster club that my good friend, Chuck Griffin, helped to start over 50 years ago. I hope that it is still in existence and that the team is supported by successful former players and other alumni. If there is no NIL for baseball, that is a real failure. 6. wolfman, it appears you’re the only person around here who gives a flying hooot about SC sports. i maintain my previously stated opinion that if wolfman were AD, SC would have 10-15 more Nattys across the board.

      1. Thanks for the wake-up call. You’re right, the old Bucket used to tear thru this blog like Josie Wales. lately, he’s been more like Sister Theresa. I started drinking de-caf, that’s probably it. Back to leaded with a blast of Jim Beam.
