USC Pitcher Grant Govel Returns For Junior Season

USC pitcher Grant Govel has decided to return for his junior season after being drafted in the 16th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates.

I didn’t expect Govel to turn pro but if he had, USC would have been in a dire position. As it is, the Trojans have still suffered severe losses in the transfer portal and still might not be good next season.

With his return, at least USC knows it has its No. 1 pitcher and can count on him every Friday night during the season. Govel was 10-3 last season with a 2.87 ERA.

        DON: As long as the Nine Layer Dip at the tailgate party is good, how dare anyone criticize the hired help?

  7. DON: You got to wonder how the ‘Big-10 is embracing the Pac-12 newcomers ucla, SC, Washington and Oregon

    KAM: Except for Oregon, the other 3 are loved by the Big-10 brotherhood because they often lose to those schools. But Oregon, they’re not sure what to make of the Ducks

  9. I’m beyond ready for this young man’s return from injury. 4.4 speed, but remarkable deceleration/acceleration, which is perhaps why he was the third leading rusher in the country for yards after first contact. He is close to Reggie-like change of direction:
