USC Notes: First Scrimmage Will Spotlight Centers

Lincoln Riley said this morning four players will work at center tomorrow for the first scrimmage of training camp: Tobias Raymond, Willi Wascher, Kannon Smith and Kaylon Miller.

Riley said he trusts all four players at the position. USC is looking into whether injured center Kilian O’Connor could qualify for a medical hardship waiver for a fifth year of eligibility.

  • Wide receiver Roderick Tezeno is close to returning from a foot injury, Riley said.
  • USC baseball has received a commitment from Parker Lipp, a senior pitcher/outfielder/infielder from Jesuit High School.
  • This is the lobby of Heritage Hall now that the Heisman Trophies have been removed. They did leave behind the Thorpe Award won by Mark Carrier as the lone football trophy.

      1. KAM: Why have you devoted 26 years of your life to trying to destroy this USC Sports by impersonating, threatening and doxxing other posters, posting your obscene screeds fan site? You are so stupid you left plenty of posts attacking USC and now you pretend you are a USC fan and think we won’t remember your cheap shots after a heartbreaking loss?

        DON: You are surely mad.

    1. Getting the NCAA to do that is about as likely as the WNBA making a firm statement that the league is for real women ONLY and not men who want to pretend they are women.

Sorry, Cowardly Gabriela, no WNBA for you!

      1. LOL! Says the person who posts as me ALL OF THE TIME! Hilarious that she’s too stupid to see her hypocrisy.

Always accusing others of what she is guilty. Some things never change.

  2. DON: You ever wonder how they rate the split ends in football?

    KAM: No

DON: If you rate them from 1 to 100 you might give your starters in the 90s with the backups 60s through 80s

    KAM: That is very interesting

  3. KAM: Terrific. 2 1/2 weeks before the show starts and SC’s football center goes down. Now they are interviewing 4 candidates for the job

DON: You’d think they’d settle on one. You can’t get enough practice at snapping the ball

  4. DON: ucla football coach ‘Cheesney said that he is “reteaching his systems” which translates to ‘you will change and do it my way or the highway

KAM: The bruins are starting from scratch again. I will have compassion for them throughout the season

      1. In 1988 before a ucla game I went up to quarterback Rodney Peete and told him “I hate ucla”

        He replied “Why?”

      2. Yes, we’ve heard that story many, many times. We don’t care that Rodney didn’t hate them.

Most of us do. With a passion!

  5. DON: One SC-Notre Dame game was lost by the Trojans 51-0.

DON: Catastrophic games also include the last 2 games like in 2024 when SC was driving and Maiava threw a 100-yard interception, and to prove it was no fluke, threw another 100-yard interception
