What a win! Four-point victory over Jedd the Fisch.
4th and 2. A 43-yard completion.
Win or lose, this USC team just has too many bad tendencies. And they have played only one road game
Well, 2-point plays need work but USC is back in front.
USC cuts lead to 21-16. It’s a horrible game, whatever the outcome.
Was that tackling that occurred on the sideline for that TD? No, it was not.
Did anyone see anything in that first half to make them feel like USC learned anything from the Oregon game?
Losing to Jedd the Fisch at halftime. Amazing.
Unbelievable. Another poor-discipline penalty.
Penalties are a sign of a poorly coached team, naturally.
Thanks to another penalty, Washington drive keeps going and they score a TD for a 14-10 lead.
Trick play alert II, Grandpa!
So a penalty erases a nice TD pass. Typical.
USC answers back with a TD. Neither team looks great.
Jayden Maiava is too inconsistent. People were crazy to make him a Heisman frontrunner.
Trick play alert, Grandpa!! Washington leads, 7-3.
That fumbled punt return keeps Mike Ekeler’s streak going of games with a special teams mistake.
So far, USC looks like USC.
Grandpa Patteson is in the pressbox so he can see things quicker. First time ever or since 1983?
Does anyone think Lincoln Riley knows the significance of this score?

Ugly but a victory nonethless….it’s amazing the kickoff for next week is as it was last night
4:30 p.m. PDT (7:30 pm EDT) @ PA St..

Yeah but the CA Post won’t give a report until Monday – as for our version of ‘Pravda’ the LA Times….they’ve lost most of their reporters/columnists to the CA Post or SCNG.
SoCal I know so so many are livid with what they are seeing considering this is Riley’s 5th year I get it – the defense doesn’t tackle period. That’s repairable….hoping for victories the next two match-ups (@ PA St. & @ WI).
Polls still not out.

KAM: So now the boys are Penn St bound to face the 2-loss Nittany Lions, which takes some starch out of the “White-Out” night game
DON: SC has a villain reputation, so those Pennsylvanians won’t find it difficult to root against them. Besides, no respectable Penn Stater would ever forgive SC for what it did to its 2016 team in the Rose Bowl

My apologies to Scott for ever doubting his ability to assess the state of the USC football program. One more trick play at the end of the game and this win would have been a loss. What happened to Maiava’s arm strength, he was throwing high all night and that last miss throw to Hines on a fourth down play to keep the drive going was inexcusable. Ever since he landed on his shoulder on the ill advised run in a game that was already won, he has not been throwing well. Put in the freshman five star QB who can also run as well as pass. The defense started to put some pressure on the QB in the second half, but not consistently. I agree that stupid penalties for unnecessary roughness like face mask holding and pushing players off of piles are a sign of an undisciplined team. Thank goodness that Stewart was not hurt seriously, his TD scoop and run was the difference in the ballgame. This team is regressing and not improving and the school administration will need to evaluate based on this regression when making a decision about coaching for next year. Jen Cohen needs to bite the bullet and move on from LR. They could pay off LR each year for the next five years instead of a lump sum buyout. Treat the payout like a retirement annuity and if he takes another job, you can deduct that from the annuity payments. They could also save money by firing the special teams coach. Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962
Scott, I still think that you have to let the concern for the Princess School go.

DON: Not sure what this Washington win does for SC, the Huskies had its best runners out of action and a quarterback who was better at running than throwing
