So How Else Are Things Going At USC?

Jen Cohen has her hands full with football right now but how are some of the other sports doing at USC?

Women’s soccer is 1-8-3 and 0-5-1 in the Big Ten. This is a program that has won two NCAA titles and moved into a new stadium last year. They are in second-to-last place in the 18-team Big Ten.

Women’s volleyball is 7-7, 1-3 in the Big Ten and Coach Brad Keller just went on personal leave. The promised turn around is yet to happen and it’s been five years.

Remember when people thought USC moving to the Big Ten would be good for some sports?

  • Meanwhile, the basketball coach she hired, Eric Musselman, has a new headache. The treasure hunter involved in the dispute with him at the beach has filed a lawsuit over the altercation, according to the New York Post.

    1. KAM: California Post obtained video showing USC basketball coach Eric Musselman in a heated altercation with a beach treasure hunter. Why would someone who represents USC act this way? Shouldn’t he be held to a higher standard? Anyone? Anyone?

DON: The confrontation occurred just one day before a former player leveled serious allegations against Musselman, adding to a turbulent stretch surrounding the Trojan program. And once again Jen Cohen is too busy stuffing her face at Taco Lita to do anything about it.

  1. “You’re live on YouTube!” What a loser.

Muscleman wasn’t any better. Didn’t appear as if the treasure hunter was encroaching upon their space.

But yeah, what are his damages? Lawsuit?! Give me a break!

DON: L.A.’s offense is still too spotty to be depended upon, but defense and pitching will keep them in most games

  6. KAM: I liked how L.A.’s first baseman Freeman saved runs with his fielding throws in the dirt

DON: And no wonder the Dodgers gave pitcher Diaz another chance. He kept the ball around the plate with a lot of juice

KAM: But neither are the Dodgers

KAM: ucla football has suffered for so many years that the fans call it “Battered Bruin Syndrome,” so in their game with Oregon I might even root for the bruin downtroddens
