Will USC Make NCAA Tournament?

USC was supposed to beat UCLA tonight at the Galen Central. Instead, the Trojans lost, 83-72, and are back on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament. USC was swept by UCLA for the first time since 2014-15. Thanks, Enfield!

So it looks like USC might need to win one-or-two two games in the Pac-12 Tournament to be safely in the NCAA Tournament. USC will play the Oregon State-Washington winner on Thursday at 6 p.m. The Trojans would likely face Oregon or Utah after that.

Here is Andy Enfield after the UCLA loss: “We’re extremely proud of our players. They’ve had a terrific season. We’ve had significant injuries in the out-of-conference. We’ve had one of our best players not play all season. We had our leading scorer from two years ago now out for the season.”

UPDATED: Jerry Palm of CBS Sports has USC as one of the final four teams in the NCAA Tournament field.

  1. For the first time ever, I watched UCLA beat USC and it didn’t bother me. In fact, I kinda came away as a fan, especially of Holliday. Thanks Enfield!

    1. Enfield is no Bob Boyd. Has he gone 24 – 2 for the regular season. How many extra games has the team played from days ago. He is so over rated from one lucky season at Fla. Gulf Coast. Where is he when
team starts blowing big leads time after time. They play out of control
when up 10 to 1 7 pts. letting the opponent get back in the game. From memory only did this team come back from any significant deficit to win.

  2. Answer to Scott’s question re will USC make NCAA Tournament: If they need one more win, yes. If they need two more wins, no.
