Athlon’s preseason Top 25 is out and USC is ranked No. 21.
Seems reasonable. But maybe the more important part is the teams ranked ahead of the Trojans: Texas is No. 20; Stanford is No.18; Notre Dame is No. 15 and Washington is No. 8.

SC should be lower. No proven qb, one missing corner, even though he was missing while playing last season, and a questionable oline. We will see.

AP will have us higher, but even if not, they’ll be dogs going into Palo Alto and Austin. You upset one or both of those teams, and you’re likely in the top 10.
