USC is back with a “practice camp” today.
Among those participating are several Class of 2020 prospects: linebacker Justin Flowe of Upland (No. 10 pictured above), offensive lineman Drake Metcalf and quarterback Bryce Young of Mater Dei.
Young transferred to Mater Dei from Cathedral after JT Daniels announced he would graduate early. Will he follow Daniels to USC?
Perhaps he should speak to Jack Sears about following Sam Darnold to USC from San Clemente.
Also at the camp is Class of 2019 linebacker Drake Jackson of Corona Centennial. Safety Cameron Williams of Bakersfield (Class of 2019) is back to visit after being at the Rising Stars camp on Sunday. He is fresh off his decommitment from Oregon and is a USC target now.
Everyone I talk to right now thinks Williams is going to commit to USC. We will see.
Two of USC’s three-star commits — defensive back Trey Davis and quarterback Kedon Slovis will be at the camp.
Class of 2021 quarterback Sam Huard, son of former Washington quarterback Damon Huard, is attending. Yes, Sam Huard is committed to Washington already.
You know who used to like the camps, besides the kids? The coaches and staffers who would get paid extra cash for all the June camps.
