USC Ranked No. 15 In Coaches’ Poll

Talk about predictable. Everyone talks about USC being a top 15 team and that is exactly where the Trojans are ranked in the first coaches’ poll.

This poll would be a lot more interesting if the coaches made their ballot public. Clay Helton is once again a voter. All the voters and the poll are below.

    1. I tend to agree with you, Lamont —-but Phil Steele has them at #6, Lindy’s has them at #5. It must have something to do with their 3 year starter at qb, and highly rated o-line (kind of the polar opposite of our situation).

  1. It is preseason and totally meaningless. Week 5 the polls may be more real if the voters can accept they blew it on some teams. Kind of like Wolf and Boise St.

  2. If USC wants to be a top 5 team, they’re going to have to hire a top level coach. Not an original thought (H/T Pete Fiutak) but Helton is going to be an SEC OC 5 years from now.

  3. I’m surprised to see SC at 15. Without a proven qb, which we the fans don’t know if they can actually pass, SC has no clue on how they are going to be, let alone the nation
