Still another day with no developments regarding the strength and conditioning program.
By the way, does anyone remember how JuJu Smith-Shuster was misused during his junior year?
He is the “surprise” of the NFL but maybe that is because the Steelers know what they are doing. Remember when Alabama held Smith-Shuster to one catch for nine yards and the USC coaches said it was because the Crimson Tide double-teamed him?
Other teams started double-teaming Smith-Schuster too so what did USC do? Did they move him around? Line him up somewhere else?
After catching 89 passes in 2015, Smith-Schuster caught 70 passes in 2016. I remember even fans getting down on him but the truth was USC’s offensive coaches never had a Plan B for teams that focused on stopping Smith-Schuster.
Now he is one of the top receivers in the NFL.
Here’s what I wrote after two games in 2016: “If the coaches do not get Smith-Schuster at least 10 catches against Stanford, it might be time for a new offensive coordinator.”
It was really time for a new head coach and offensive coordinator.
Excellent timing, as usual, Scottie – his fumble just cost the Steelers the game… doh! I love the kid, incidentally.

The Steelers also have Antonio Brown who usually gets the double team. Plus they have one of the best O-lines in football so Rothlesburger has a lot of time to throw. Plus they have Rothlesburger!

I also recall you pointing out how he was not a nfl player since he couldn’t get any separation in CFB.
