USC Basketball Roster Is A Real Mish Mash

Daniel Utomi, a 6-6 forward from Akron, has transferred to USC. He will be eligible immediately. He is ranked No. 23 in ESPN’s graduate transfer rankings, which I didn’t know existed until today. Utomi averaged 14.2 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 37.3 percent from 3-point range last season. He scored 11 points in a 84-53 loss to USC in Honolulu on Dec. 22, 2017. … Continue reading USC Basketball Roster Is A Real Mish Mash

A Trojan Great With Who Worked On “Wizard Of Oz” Dies

USC announced the death of a memorable Trojan: Ambrose Schindler. He was 101. Schindler died Dec. 30, 2018 but it was just recently reported. The San Diego High School graduate led USC in rushing, scoring and total offense and was named all-conference in 1937. Schindler also led the Trojans in 1939, and was named MVP of the 1940 Rose Bowl. The 1939 team was eventually recognized … Continue reading A Trojan Great With Who Worked On “Wizard Of Oz” Dies

Who … Continue reading USC Afternoon Notes: Media QB Preferences

USC Morning Buzz: Clay Helton Eats His Own Words

It’s like having an OC, a DC, a special teams coordinator. Strength and conditioning. This is a big hire,” Helton said. So what did Helton do? He hired Spencer Harris of Fresno State to be USC’s new recruiting … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Clay Helton Eats His Own Words

Coliseum Naming Rights Update

L.A. County Supervisor Janice Hahn said today she still believes it is possible to name the field but not the Coliseum as she still opposes the “United Airlines Memorial Coliseum” naming rights. “I’m hopeful that a compromise can be reached,” Hahn said. “I also know that there is talk of other possible corporate sponsors expressing an interest.” United has already said it would prefer to … Continue reading Coliseum Naming Rights Update
