Is there any sport where USC is prepared to make a big-time coaching hire?
Football? Maybe but historically USC never has made a splash.
I have repeated talked about the low level of ambition when hiring coaches under Pat Haden and Lynn Swann. And USC seems poised to raid a small conference for a baseball coach.
Oregon goes to the Big Ten. USC goes to the West Coast Conference.
It doesn’t mean it won’t work. It just shows the intent and financial commitment are not there.
- Is anything worse than hearing Lori Loughlin updates in the College Admissions scandal?
Especially when they often involve Loughlin trying to pin the blame on others, including USC.
SCooter,
It is time for your English class. You wrote, ” have repeated talked…”.
This is incorrect. You should have written, have repeatedly talked…”. See the action has been going on. You wrote as a past one or two time experience. But since you keep brining it up that you are constantly doing this, then it turns into an adverb.
As far as coaches are concerned, SC needs to spend a million a year on a baseball coach. That is what Haden offered Savage. Take some of Swann’s salary and pay the guy. Swann can live off $2 million a year.

Lynn Swann gets $2 million dollars a year to do nothing but bring shame on USC for hiring him in the first place.

Lori Loughlin is so sheltered she thinks her PR news blurb will actually sway sympathy her way. They’re too easy to notice because they always include “Friends of Lori say….” pathetic
