USC cuts lead to 28-24.

This is a problem with the Air Raid or Graham Harrell. He doesn’t want to run the ball. USC tailbacks have five carries.

USC gets a field goal and it’s 28-17 at halftime.

Iowa is making USC’s defense look silly. It’s 28-14 Hawkeyes.

The Air Raid just got stopped and only the replay official prevented Iowa from taking over deep in USC territory.

USC pretty much only passes as it drives 75 yards for the TD, with Kedon Slovis finding Drake London wide open on the 4-yard pass.

What a shock! A Clancy Pendergast defense can’t stop a trick play. Has he ever been able to?

It’s 7-0 Iowa. USC’s defensive front didn’t get much pressure on Nate Stanley.

Drew Richmond is out. Jalen McKenzie will start at right tackle and Liam Jimmons at right guard.

  15. Man, sad- the Spanish TV announcers described the Trojan D as “porosa” ( porous) and said that D is used to giving up lots of yardage, so it doesn’t bother them. That was the Hawkeye’s longest drive of the year (8 min +). What does Bohn Folt (sounds Dutch) think now?

  35. Who am I to criticize the integrity of this storied program? Why I’m sure practicing in a ballroom is a normal procedure for great teams without practices before hand. And the excellence in coaching is really shining. Just curious how far did the punt go in the ballroom?
    They want our support, but they’re using jock straps made of tissue. No support from anywhere.

  36. Kedon is the anti athlete. He’s okay if he doesn’t have to move his each foot more than once, and can throw jump balls to future NFL receivers. Someone should explain to Harrell that running the football is allowed.

  39. One can only wonder what is being said by Gomer to the kids during a timeout. My guess is things like….I love you guys, you guys are warriors, I’m so proud of you guys, and we are only 5 plays away from being within a score of Iowa. Where on the other side Ferentz is actually talking strategy and Xs and Os. Like I said earlier, with an actual coach with a back bone, we roll over Iowa but with Gomer….Clancy and Baxter we trail at the half. Watching this is like being in pain and not being able to take anything for it. Mediocrity at its best with Helton and company.

  47. Classic matchup of a SOFT FINESSE poor coached team vs a Physical no nonsense no bullshit team . You are now witnessing a team in Iowa that practices physical football vs a team in USC that practices in a ballroom because it is raining outside. And it is showing what team actually practiced and what team is led by a soft ass coaching staff. Just imagine what the score may look like when we bring this finesse soft team to Texas to play Alabama in the opener. A coaching legend vs Gomer who should be coaching at a high school?
