Remember when Mike Bohn said he would meet boosters in “small gatherings” to get their feedback?
Well, at least two meetings have been set:
Jan. 29 at 7:30 a.m.
Feb. 13 at 12 p.m.
What people are generally available at these times? Millionaires and retirees? Or millionaire retirees.
It pretty much precludes those who have to work, unless they happen to work in downtown L.A.
Did Bohn ever hear of having a meeting at night when people are generally free? Or would that actually attract people?
Just like a politician or political body – want to pass a measure without controversy? Schedule the vote for a time in the middle of the day and don’t publicize it…
Can blame him/them for what they’ve done/not done…but kind of understand wanting to avoid anyone with a brain in favor of a glad-handing PR opportunity…

Apparently USC continues to make mistakes with the hirings in the athletic department with the latest being AD Bohn. For an alumni who has deep roots in USC, it’s very discouraging and you have to wonder how and when the football program will start moving in the right direction.

Ah, the dumbass chiming in, obviously oblivious to my point. No shock there, considering the stupidity displayed in most of his posts.

It’s kind of like when they announced the Rodney King civil rights case verdict very, very early on a Saturday morning so as not to rekindle the response that took place after the publicized Simi Valley verdict in the middle of a Friday afternoon during warm weather. While the result was different, the authorities didn’t want to chance more controversy.

Truly wealthy individuals do not work 9-5 jobs but instead are always working/traveling/in meetings. All times are inconvenient to some degree. This is another non-story.
More importantly, what seat will the AD choose for himself during these meetings? I heard he once didn’t give up his seat to a woman back in his early 20s!

Just so you know, Slappy —Scheduling a public meeting for 7:30 am is tantamount to not scheduling a public meeting….

I would suggest that EVERYONE send Folt and Bohn a copy of
“The Peter Principle” by Dr. Laurence J Peter . . .
They obviously have neither read nor understood this classic
book explaining how employees are promoted to their personal
level of incompetence . . .
Which explains how Helton got his current job . . .
and how they got theirs!
PS I also suggest sending a mirror along with the book
and a note stating . . .
“Please look into the mirror after reading!”
