Three Coaches In Three Years For Many USC Defensive Players

Every USC assistant coach from the 2017 Rose Bowl is gone.

People talk about player turnover with the NCAA transfer portal but look at the adversity USC players are facing.

The secondary players are about to have their third coach in three years. The defensive linemen will have their third coach in three years.

It’s OK to have that turnover when you have coaches leaving for better jobs. But when guys are getting fired, it just shows you how dysfunctional the program has become.

  • The death of Willie Wood is a reminder that he is not in the USC Hall of Fame. Wood was not an All-American and enjoyed great success in the NFL. But his pro football exploits make him one of the greatest players from USC to play in the NFL. And for that, he should be recognized.

Remember, offensive lineman Marvin Powell is in the College Football Hall of Fame but not the USC Hall of Fame. Another travesty.

  1. Sorta like the offense a few yrs back…5 staffs in 5 yrs? Didn’t we have 5 consecutive games with the irish with different HCs? 3? That don’t sound so bad, do it?

  2. USC Football is currently a circus run by Clowns!!
Zero stability.. Zero Leadership.. Zero Results!
It’s really a very sad for the Players.
They will never be “Coached Up” to play for a Conference or National Championship
    And forget about the NFL..
It’s Time to get a real Head Coach and turn
    Our storied Program around!

  3. Spot on on Willie Wood and Marvin Powell. T
heir NFL exploits and success did more for USCs football standing & tradition than if they had a tremendous college career but were busts at the pro level.
Sometines rules need to be changed or exceptions need to be made.
