NBA star and former USC star DeMar DeRozan is having his No. 10 jersey retired on Thursday night at the Galen Center.
Four years ago, Gus Williams had his No. 10 jersey retired at the Galen Center.
That means USC retired the No. 10 jersey twice.
So WHY is guard Quinton Adlesh wearing No. 10 this season?
Probably because Andy Enfield has zero appreciation of USC basketball history. Remember, he let Jordan McLaughlin wear No. 11, which was retired in honor of USC All-American Bill Sharman.
There was a story that Pat Haden got permission from Sharman’s family for McLaughlin to wear the No. 11 but I heard conflicting reports about that.
It would just be nice to know when a retired jersey number is actually retired.
UPDATED: USC forward Max Agbonkpolo wears No. 23 this season. Harold Miner had his No. 23 retired in 2012.

Agree, though it does highlight the dysfunctional operations within Heritage. Somebody should have known this, but Swann or maybe it was Haden, were asleep at the wheel.

Only Scott “The Big Breasted” Wolf could find a negative angle in this. Rather than write about DeRozan’s collegiate and professional success, which is probably what a real journalist would do, he opts to whine about something fairly inconsequential. Still, it should be sufficiently defeatist to get the navel-gazing crowd out in full force. Well done, Gargamel!

If USC made the sweet16 or elite8 Wolf would find a way to take shots at USC by saying they had an easy bracket or something along those lines. It’s crazy to wonder if he pulls for the opponent to beat SC so he can have his fun with his opinions that are never down the middle but always one sided to hate on USC.

It’s crazy to see people attacking the messenger when our football and basketball programs have stunk for a decade, our admissions and Med School are an international laughing stock and they can’t even retire a jersey properly!

Why is DeMar Rozen’s jersey being retired? I mean the Raptors traded DeMar and promptly won an NBA World Championship title.
