    1. Yes, what is up with “showcase”?
Spring scrimmage, spring game, both are fine. But showcase?
Always were great events for kids.

      1. Arturo, I didn’t draw the distinction between “showcase” and “scrimmage”on the basis of contact. Is that the difference?

      2. I’ve only been to a scrimmage and that was before they toned it down. There is a reason for the NCAA, NFL, and high school football to reduce the contact- it puts the players’ health and well being at risk. Teams across the board aren’t as “fundamentally “ sound when it comes to tackling, but I’d rather see that than the players unnecessarily beating each other to a pulp.

  1. If it is a showcase like we’ve had in the past under Clay, it will be disappointing. We’re all hoping that Bohn has cut the legs out from under Clay and the new guys get to coach how they see fit. A showcase like we’ve seen before would lead us all to believe it will just be more of the same.

    1. HE DIDN’T HAVE TO… HE ALREADY HAD MULTIPLE FULL CONTACT PRACTICES DURING SPRING AND THE FIRAST HALF OF THE SEASON.
HE DID NOT HAVE A HIT AND GIGGLE SPRING SHOWCASE TO EMBARASS HIS FOOTBALL PROGRAM.
YOUR’RE COMPARING QUALITY APPLES TO SOUR ORANGES!!

  2. They’re going off SC’s stellar Bowl game with Iowa!
Helton’s got it under complete control!
No contact practices .. No pads. No helmets!
Just indoor walk thru’s and conceptual strategy sessions ……
“Clay should Stay!!” That’s my motto!!

  3. Showcase? Again? Really? stuff like this is why USC football is soft!!! After what Iowa did to USC i would think the coaches would have had enough of watching this team get man handled, but knowing Clay…..
