Colorado Edges USC

Despite leading by 14 points in the first half, USC lost to Colorado in Boulder tonight.

You will be shocked to know in the final few possessions, Elijah Weaver took an ill-advised 2-point perimeter shot and Daniel Utomi traveled trying to set up for a potentially game-tying 3-pointer with 18 seconds left.

Falling apart on offense in the final minute in close games is an Andy Enfield trademark.

Another Enfield trademark: USC is 0-5 against top-four teams in Pac-12

USC is also 1-7 in Quadrant 1 games.

Onyeka Okongwu had 21 pts and made 10-13 field goals.

  1. Andy Enfield is a nice guy. I really like him, but he just can’t get his team to stop the errors and play cleanly. They don’t play with enough confidence throughout the game, like they are going to win. Aren’t aggressive enough, make too many errors, and just don’t look together. Such good talent out there, why? Another close loss and it could have been a nice win.

  2. Lack of team discipline. Not so different from Lavin’s time coaching in westwood several years ago. Lots of talent, but undisciplined team equals losses in close games.

    1. Did you really compare Enfield to Lavin? Lavin was a sub par coach for UCLA but would be a legend if he did what he did at UCLA at southern Cal!

6 20+ win seasons, 7 NCAA tournament apperenes, 5 sweet sixteen, pac12 championship, multiple wins over #1 ranked teams… He would be the southern Cal all time best coach… Also Steve Alford would also be in the top two. Too bad they were coaches at the best college basketball school of all time!

      1. Andy chokes as usual. When the opponent has a number symbol with a number next to their name then he will pretty much guarentee a loss. I didn’t get to watch the game but when I took a sneak look at my phone we were up on them. I had to sit through another boring Little League meeting on rules, but after knowing we started with the lead deep down I thought we would choke and right when we were almost done and finishing up I look one more time and we’re down.
Might as well forget looking again and no need to rush home to catch the last few minutes.
        I knew we lost.
Besides Enfield losing against ranked teams on a consistent basis one significant problem is he’s failed to put a true point guard out on the floor and it’s been there each season since Jordan McLaughlin left. If he doesn’t get someone to step up and become that kind of point guard it’s really not gonna matter if Evan Mobley is on the team next season. He’ll play like a lottery pick but the teams success won’t rise and move forward unless there is a playmaker handling the ball.
Enfield hasn’t seemed to notice this yet from the looks of it.

    1. Ted you are full of shit. What an asshole you are. Lavin was mediocre at
best. What did he do at St. John’s? ucla is garbage since the hypocrite
Wooden retired to spend his nights at Sizzler . Bob Boyd was twice the
      coach as Lavin!

      1. Boyd was twice the coach than Johnny Cheetin’ Wooden, who’s motto was, “If you aint’ cheetin’ you aint’ rtyin””. See Boyd never paid for players and he won.

  4. Andyain’twinning is paid 2+ million $$$$$ a year to choka, choka, choka in big games.

Oingo Boingo had a big game but it didn’t matter. SUCCX is slowly playing its way out of the NCAA Tournament. Prior to tonight’s loss, SUCCX BB was a projected #11 seed in the bumf**k East Bracket.

#Andyain’twinning, whose contract doesn’t expire until 2023(?), can’t hack real competition. Somethings @ SUCCX never change.

  5. Undisciplined, lack of cohesive defense, error prone… Tell me again are we talking football or basketball? Maybe Folt wants to bring in street kids with the new tuition structure so they can cut scholarship load and nobody will care.
New conspiracy theory coming in here.
