Some Strategic Music/Noise At Galen Center Prevents Negative Reaction

There is something to be said for the loud music at the Galen Center.

When Clay Helton got introduced yesterday, you could start to hear some boos but the music kicked in at such a high volume you could not hear much after that. Maybe it was intentional. But it didn’t matter because it worked.

USC fans are generally unaffected by everything. After the game, Helton was part of a sizeable crowd that walked back to campus but few even noticed. He ended up walking most of the way back to the McKay Center by himself.

It’s not the SEC, which is not always a bad thing.

  • USC has moved its first spring practice from Tuesday to Wednesday because of weather concerns.

  1. “Weather concerns” or “whether concerns”? As in the team’s concern over whether or not they will be allowed to practice at full speed with pads and without Helton shouting ‘for show only’ instructions to the assistant coaches?

  2. It’s one thing to be a dumb ass, but Clay Helton actually looks like one too, that’s very frustrating. 🙄
