Oscar Brown, an outfielder on USC’s 1966 baseball team, died on June 3. He was 74.
Brown was the younger brother of former USC All-American tailback Willie Brown, who died in 2018. Another brother, Ollie Brown, spent 13 years playing major-league baseball.
Oscar Brown spent one season at USC when the Atlanta Braves selected him in the first round of the secondary draft in 1966. He played with the Braves from 1969-73.

R.I.P Oscar and prayers for your family.

Amazing athletic family. Did not know “Downtown” Ollie Brown was part of their brotherhood. Hit the long ball and also had a great arm.

I remember shaking his hand in spring 1966 when Dedeaux was recruiting me at a game at Bovard Field. Great player and better person. Go in peace…

You are a disgrace to USC with your rhetoric in the past. Prove you
played baseball for the Trojans.
